Ultimate access is at your fingertips with the TruXedo Deuce hinged tonneau cover for trucks. The Deuce features a design unique to the tonneau cover market, rolling up completely to store behind your cab - or unlatching at the header to fold back and allow 21" of access to toolboxes and items stored near the front of the bed.
The hinge is constructed in three parts, with the middle piece preventing the cover from creasing when the front section is folded back to keep the tonneau looking great.
Installation of the cover requires no drilling and features Velcro fastening with "floating hook" technology. The Velcro moves - or floats - back and forth on the rails, preventing wear and tear on the fabric and allowing constant tension adjustment - even when the cover is closed. The angled side rails attach to the inside lip of your truck bed rails with clamps for a sure fit, and a header guide holds the cover assembly in place.
The built-in, automatic tension control system is constant, so the tonneau always looks great and is easy to use regardless of the temperature. The "floating hook" allows the cover to be adjusted even when it is closed. The cover is constructed from industrial-strength, vinyl-coated, leather-grain fabric that will not shrink in cold climates.
The cover engages with one hand, using an automotive-quality rotary latch at the front of the bed. The latch locks over a striker pin to hold the cover assembly in place. A slide lock can be engaged at the cab to prevent anyone from folding the cover open without first unlocking the tailgate.
An additional cover header latches at the tailgate over a toggle switch, maintaining a tight seal against the elements and providing security for your cargo. The rear header releases easily with a pull on the toggle switch and will not disengage until the locked tailgate is open - adding another layer of security.
The cover includes continuous rubber seals at the front and rear and additional seals on the side rails to help protect your bed from dust and moisture.
A pair of security straps hold the cover in place when it is rolled up and stored behind the cab. The rear header and bows roll up with the cover to form a compact roll.
The aerodynamic, low-profile design of the cover helps to eliminate tailgate drag, improving your gas mileage by up to 10 percent.

Today we are going to install part number TX777601 from TruXedo. This is their Deuce Tonneau Cover. First we will show you how it installs. Some tonneau covers actually sit on top of the rails. In this case, it is actually going to sit on the inside edge of the rail itself. We will start off by installing the rails first. It is kind of a good idea to have an extra set of hands here. What you want to do is mount it up against the side of the rail and push this little seal here against the tailgate just a little bit. When you have got it into the position you want, go ahead and take the clamps and install it onto one side of the rail and on the inside of the bed rail. What you are aiming for here is to actually have this as level as possible. All right, next what we will do is install the rails that actually support this while it is in use. We will just fold this out of our way, and the rail will get installed like this. Try to get it as even as possible with the other rail and then clamp it in place just like the first one.
All right, we will assemble our side brackets onto our crossmember here. And they have the screws already installed, so they just slide into these slots right here and here. And then just tighten them down. You have one on each side to do. All right, next we will assemble the crossmember to the underbody rails. We just install two pieces of hardware, one bolt that will fit into the track right here, and there is one on each side you need to do. And then we will install our crossmember. OK. Once you have them loosely installed, go ahead and align the front crossmember where it is even with the bulkhead here.
All right, next we will install the cover assembly. Temporarily we will put these back out of the way, and get our assembly. Set our hardware back in the tracks. Just snug these up for now but leave them loose, because we will have to adjust it maybe a little bit later. All right, next we will go ahead and lift the cover assembly back over and onto the front rail, and line up the latch. And you may have to take this latch and move it back and forth a little bit to adjust it. Once you have it just right, you should be able to just push down on it and it locks into place. All right, once you have that crossmember aligned with the bulkhead here, go ahead and tighten them down into the rails. All right, lift the cover assembly back over onto the crossmember here, and then what you want to do is make sure you have this even on both sides. You want to make sure this rail is next to the side rail on the pickup, and then you want to make sure this gap is even on both sides. Once you have that even, then you can go ahead and tighten down the bolts on the bottom side.
All right, next we will line our center latch up with the latch. Just pick it up a little bit, just slide it over into place, push it down and latch it into place. And that will center it, and then you just tighten down the nut. This is the trigger that unlatches the latch here so you can fold up the front half of the tonneau cover. And it is lockable. All you have to do is undo this thumbwheel right here, and put it next to the latch and then tighten it down. And then the latch can operate to undo it. All right, once we have the bolts tightened down, just go ahead and unroll it back, and then cover up our truck bed. As it locks into place, you pull on that latch right there and then just pull it down tight.
All right, once you have it latched in the back, then take your Velcro seal and you just push it into place. All right, to unlatch the front half of the tonneau cover, push on this lever and pick it up. All right, to release the back half of the tonneau cover is easy - it is a one-finger release. All right, when you have your cover rolled up, it has these two straps right here that go over the top and latch into two straps on the back side of the cover.
