Improve the look of your truck, avoid the hassle of traditional, snap-style tonneau covers and save money all in one with the TruXedo TruXport soft, roll-up cover.

The TruXport is an economically priced choice for protecting your truck bed, installing easily in minutes and cutting gas costs with an aerodynamic design that reduces tailgate drag.

TruXport installs with rails along the top of your truck bed walls, held in place by clamps - three per side. A front and rear header hold the cover assembly in place; Velcro strips along the rails secure the cover; and weather seals on all four sides help to keep dust, rain and snow out of your truck bed.

The TruXport features a dual-latching mechanism that secures the tonneau cover at your tailgate. This mechanism includes a built-in tension control that automatically sets the tension of your tonneau cover when the rear header is snapped into place. This ensures that you never need to manually adjust the tension of the cover. The latches can be released one at a time, so you don't need a partner - or a giant wing span - to open the cover.

A pair of security straps holds the tonneau in place behind the cab when it is rolled up, allowing full access to the truck bed. The rear header and crossmembers roll up with the cover to form a compact roll. The cover unrolls and latches in seconds, forming a secure rear cargo area when used in conjunction with a locked tailgate. TruXport cannot be released unless the tailgate is opened first.

The TruXport offers a smooth appearance on your truck bed with no arched bows. The tonneau cover rails sit only 1-1/2" above your truck's bed rails.

Today on our 2002 Chevrolet S10, well be installing the truck spot tonneau covering part number TX243101. Now after removing our tonneau cover from the packaging and ensuring all our parts well begin by installing the weather seal on the cab end corner. Youll notice these on the two side rails. Now well be using the weather seals with the corners cut out of them. Youll notice that the seals match perfectly to the cab end corners. Now that we have the weather seals on, we are ready to set the cover assembly on the front bulkhead.
Well make sure that the cover is parallel to the bulkhead and that the weather seal is directly over the bed rail. Well now place the side rails on the pick up bed rails were we can fit the cab end corners into the cover assembly. With the bolt side rails on well take our clamps, three for each side and install them over the side rails and under the bedside rails. Youll notice that the clamps as well as the side rail on the tonneau cover are ribbed. Youll need to make sure your clamp fits nicely into the side rail ribs.
Well also make sure that these are finger tight still allowing us to move the side rail. Now with all three clamps in position well repeat the same procedure for the three clamps on the passenger side. Now that we have all six clamps in position well go ahead and make sure that, our cover assembly is centered on the truck bed where well then clamp down the two clamps closest to the cab. Well now go ahead and unroll our cover assembly making sure that our cross bars stay in the channel of the side rails. Here in the center youll notice that our cross bar will seat directly over where we have positioned our center clamp.
We can go ahead and remove our center clamp to allow the cross to sit into the channel. Well continue unrolling our cover assembly till we get to the rear here at the tailgate. Here at the tailgate we can take the two remaining weather seals and attach them to the cover here on the corner. Youll notice again theyve cut to fit perfectly. With the weather seals on we can now go ahead and snap the cover into the latch here on the end of the rails.
With that done well now reach under the tunnel cover and tighten down the two rear clamps here closest to the tailgate. We do this in order to keep the side rails parallel and make sure that our cover is positioned correctly. Now that we have both rear clamps tight well now go ahead and release the tonneau cover and roll it back up until we reach the center clamp. Here at the center clamp well go ahead and tighten it down. Well do that on both sides of the truck. With that done we can go ahead, and unroll the cover and relatch it in. now youll notice here where the tailgate closes that the tonneau cover has a weather seal. As you close the tailgate that weather seal seals the tonneau cover to the bed further protecting the contents within the bed and thats it for the installation of the truck spot, tonneau cover part number TX243101 on our 2002 Chevrolet S10.
