TruXedo TruXport aerodynamic design

The TruXport is an economically priced choice for protecting your truck bed, installing easily in minutes and cutting gas costs with an aerodynamic design that reduces tailgate drag.

TruXport installs with rails along the top of your truck bed walls, held in place by clamps - three per side. A front and rear header hold the cover assembly in place; Velcro strips along the rails secure the cover; and weather seals on all four sides help to keep dust, rain and snow out of your truck bed.

TruXedo TruXport dual latching system with built-in tension control

The TruXport features a dual-latching mechanism that secures the tonneau cover at your tailgate. This mechanism includes a built-in tension control that automatically sets the tension of your tonneau cover when the rear header is snapped into place. This ensures that you never need to manually adjust the tension of the cover. The latches can be released one at a time, so you don't need a partner - or a giant wing span - to open the cover.

TruXedo TruXport cover rolled up and stored

A pair of security straps holds the tonneau in place behind the cab when it is rolled up, allowing full access to the truck bed. The rear header and crossmembers roll up with the cover to form a compact roll. The cover unrolls and latches in seconds, forming a secure rear cargo area when used in conjunction with a locked tailgate. TruXport cannot be released unless the tailgate is opened first.

The TruXport offers a smooth appearance on your truck bed with no arched bows. The tonneau cover rails sit only 1-1/2" above your truck's bed rails.

Video Transcript for TruXedo TruXport Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover Installation - 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup

Today on this 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup we will be installing part number TX239101 from Truxedo. Before we get started we are going to take the weather seals that are provided in the kit and attach those to our side rails for our bed cover. They are adhesive so we have to just stick them on there in the right position. We are going to let those sit for now and take our cover assembly and position it to the far most part of the trunk. When positioning this on the truck bed you want to make sure it is going to unroll down to cover your truck bed. So make sure you position it the right way. You are just going to sit it on there for now, like so. :43

As you can see here we have it just sitting on the edge and now we are going to get our rails and put our rails in position. We are going to do one side at a time so we can lock them in place. Then we will straighten them up and lock them down. We are going to take our rail, lift up our cover for the most part, and what we are going to do is slide it over a little bit so we can set our rail on there. We are going to take our plastic lock in piece right here and push it in. This part here you want to turn it so it will line up. It is just going to slide right in position. We are going to do the same thing for the other side. 1:29.

The next step, we are going to take the rear clamp, it does not matter which clamp you use, they are all the same, and take two of them and place them on the rear and loosely tighten them so we can still move it around to center it up in the next couple steps. As you can see there are these teeth edges along the inside of the rail, we are actually going to set these inside, and line them up, flush to where you have the teeth. Now we are going to do the other side. Now that we have the rear ones we are going to do the same thing for the center and forward most clamps, we are just going to loosely tighten those on where we can still move the rails around to center it on the truck bed. Now that we have our clamps in position we are going to align our cover assembly with the bulk head itself on the forward part of your truck bed here. What you want to do is take the railing and line it up as best as possible with the bulk head. Now that we have the forward assembly lined up with the bulk head we want to go ahead and take the rails and line it up with each fender of your truck bed. You can measure the front and the rear to see if they are the same distance apart. The reason we want to align this as best as possible is so that your cover will Velcro down on the straps evenly all the way back. 2:47

Once you get those aligned, you want to tighten the front clamps only. Be sure not to tighten them because you will start bending your rails. You just want them snug to where they can not move freely from the wind, vibrations, or any type of movement. Before we tighten our rear clamps we are going to go ahead and unroll the cover itself to make sure it is properly aligned and we can go ahead and tighten down our rear clamps. You can see this lip here at the end of our cover, what that lip is going to do is slide down here and lock into place. You want to make sure you get both of them like that. Then we can tighten down our rear clamps. Now that we have a rails lined up and our clamps tightened we want to go ahead and tighten our center clamps. Now that we have our center clamps tightened we want to unroll the cover and do a test fit to see if it fits good. Like I said, you want to go ahead and take the slots and put them in the openings. Go ahead and lock it shut. Then take your velcro down the sides and pull it tight. Now, on both sides we have these threaded tensioners here. What these do is if you pull it back tight and it seems like the cover is too loose you can actually adjust these by this knob right here and it slides this back and forward to make your adjustments tighter or looser.
