A circuit tester that plugs into the 6-way trailer connector on the vehicle and emulates a trailer. The lights let you know what functions (brake, turn, tail, stop and 12V) are working properly and what functions aren't.

this make life soooo much easier. I tested for shorts in the truck and in the extension, took less than 3 minutes. Highly recommend.12970

+++ I completely rewired our small trailer (new lights and everything) thinking the problem was with the trailer wiring. If I had this in my toolbox, I could have saved that time and money. It would have showed me the problem was in our pickup truck wiring!!! +++ small, easy to use tool I highly recommend! --- The tester showed my right turn signal and right brake lights were working. That was NOT the case. There was enough juice going through the corroded wiring and outlet to light up those led's, but not enouth to blink a real light bulb. JUST BECAUSE THE LIGHT ON THE TESTER LIGHTS UP, IT DOES NOT MEAN THERE IS ENOUGH ELECTRICITY TO LIGHT UP A REAL BULB! This may be more suited for those who have led lights on their trailers. Yes, I would buy this tester, if I had it to do over. I would even give it as a gift. Just remember when using it, take my Grandma's advise and don't believe everything you hear, or see, as in this case. A+++ to etrailer.com for fast, accurate, friendly service! Thank you!17441
