- I contacted our representative at Thule about the item you selected, Thule Roof Mounted Top Rack System, part # THTP54.
She informed me that the Thule Top Rack System is made of aluminum.
The Thule Top Rack has 8 holes that are spaced 6 Inches apart from center of bolt hole.
I would recommend using the included hardware to mount to the roof of your 1997 4Runner. You will need to measure to see the distance between each bolt hole on your roof. If you find that the holes will not line up,
