Specs:
The Thule Parkway is the perfect hitch-mounted bike rack for weekend warriors and part-time riders. The simple, solid design offers a great option for basic bike transportation.

Rotating, sliding cradles hold your bikes firmly in place on the rack arms while protecting the frames from scratches and abrasions. The cushioned cradles have soft rubber straps that secure the bikes in place, helping to prevent bike-to-bike contact during transport.

The dual arms on this rack offer great support for your bikes and reduce the need for a bike adapter bar. An adapter bar may be required, however, for some women's, children's and alternative bike frames.

Parkway features a pin at its base that can be removed to tilt the rack away from your vehicle for convenient access to your rear cargo area (after the bikes have been removed).
Parkway includes a built-in anti-rattle device on the shank that reduces vibration and noise in the hitch for a smoother, quieter ride. A Snug-Tite hitch lock (THSTL2; sold separately) is available for locking the rack to your hitch. Add a cable lock (TH538XT; sold separately) to lock your bikes to the rack.
The rack comes with an anti-sway strap to reduce movement of the handlebars and front wheels during transport.

installation instructions and specs for complete information.
We will start by inserting the base or the stinger into the hitch, it gets bolted in place and also has an anti-rattle device. Next we will install the main structure. We will have to unclip the clip on top there, take it off, put it back on there, put the structure in place and then we will put our bottom pivot bolt in. Next we need to unfold the top part of the rack and bolt it into position. Last, but not least, we will rotate the cradles up and put the straps on. A couple bolts to install, and some cradles to unfold and your bicycle rack is ready to go. This is part # TH958, the Thule Parkway bicycle rack.

I bought the Parkway rack and the hitch lock (THSTL2) at the same time, and was surprised to see that the lock doesn't actually lock the whole bike rack to the hitch. It locks the lower part of the rack to the hitch, but anyone with a wrench can remove just a single bolt and lift the rest of the rack away. Now, I guess if you put a long cable through the loop in the lower part of the hitch and wrapped it around the bikes, a thief might be discouraged trying to untangle it all... so the hitch lock helps. But the Parkway would be a more secure rack, and it would be easier to secure the bikes, if Thule would put non-removable pins at a couple key points, instead of using nuts and bolts.18866

Item arrived on time in great shape. Easy to assemble, and light weight. I would advise the purchase of a Thule receiver lock for added security. One of the receiver pin holes is threaded so a standard receiver hitch lock will not work unless you drill it out.8131
