I have not used this product yet. It was easy to assemble and install, took about an hour total. The directions could be a little clearer. The extension is different on each end. They don't tell you which end connects to the front and back sections of the MOAB basket. The small picture though shows which way it should go. I also had to back out the self tapping screws, as the directions don't start by tell you which size to use. Later, you find out you need the 4 longer ones in a particular spot. So I had to back out screws until I found the long ones. But they do tell you to read the directions first, had I done that I would have found I would need the 4 longer ones later. 19871

• According to Thule, you can only use 1 extension, # TH691XT, with the M.O.A.B. Roof Top Cargo Carrier, # TH690. Adding 1 extension will make the length of the M.O.A.B. 64 inches (5 feet, 4 inches) long. You will want to check your vehicle owners manual for the weight capacity of your roof and do not exceed the weight limit of the lowest rated item.
