Alright today on this Cadillac SRX were going to do a test fit of a Thule Roof Rack system using the Thule Rapid Crossroad foot pack and Thule AeroBlades. The Cadillac does have a factory roof rack, so lets go ahead and attach it to it. We will go ahead and take our first load bar and set it into place. Okay now we are just going to use a generic measurement here to place our bars. Now you definitely want to check with your roof rack manufacturer to determine how much weight you could put on top of the vehicle. And also you want to check with the accessories that you will put on top of the AeroBlades as well for distance and measurements that you will need.
Theres a seem on the roof rack that we will use, we will measure off 3 from there, and when you setup your measurements you want it from the center of the crossbar from one to the other. Okay once you initially have them in place go ahead and make sure the bars are sitting on the roof rack correctly left to right as well. Lets give you a measurement on additional height that the rack adds to the vehicle. From the top of the factory roof rack to the very top of the load bars is 2-1/2. And with that that will finish our test fit of Thule Roof Rack system with the AeroBlades and Thule Crossroads..

These Thule products fit great, easy to install on my X-5. I bought the 53" cross bars and they were fine, but if there is a next time I might go with the 50". Mounted my kayak carriers and the installation looks good, very sturdy. 14826
