Just spent a day putting a treated wood deck on my trailer. We used an impact wrench to put about 200 of these screws into new steel and didn't encounter a single problem. No stripped threads or heads, no breaks. I can't believe how smoothly it went.77456

Just as stated, pre drill a 7/32 pilot hole and drive the screw through the PT floor with the torx and into the steel plating for a great tight fit. Very easy installation. Make sure to use a cobalt drill bit to get through the metal with ease. These screws counter sink into the PT wood easily.40725
