This is a submersible, multifunction stop, turn, and tail light. This versatile light serves seven functions: stop, turn, tail, rear reflex, side marker, side reflex, and license plate illuminator. The main red light measures 4-9/16" square x 2-7/8" deep; the attached red marker light makes the total length 5-17/64". The molded plastic housing and durable lens provide all-weather protection against corrosion. A gasket is included for a weathertight seal against the elements. The light features a screw-down, replaceable lens and easy-to-replace bulbs. The light socket is shockproof, guaranteeing long bulb life. The light mounts on the left side of the trailer with two studs on 2" centers. The wiring design contains the lead wires for power and is grounded through the mounting studs.

I haven't tried the submersible aspects of these lights yet, but installation was a breeze, everything worked, and they look good. Especially nice about dealing with etrailer.com were good website, very reasonable shipping charges, excellent communications (several of them), and quick shipping. This taillight should work on your Carson trailer as long as the original mounting holes are 2 inches on center and your mount is steel and attached directly to the trailers frame. This light gets the ground connection through the trailer frame and mounting studs. The yellow wire goes to the left turn/brake wire and the brown wire is for the taillights.

To use your trailer running lights as accent lights with the trailer plugged into 110 volts, you will need to wire in a 110 volt to 12 volt converter to the 4-Way connector on your trailer.
With your trailer plugged into the campground electric, you will plug the converter into an 110 volt outlet on the trailer. I would recommend going with LED lights that have sealed units in them like the LED Submersible Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, item # STL8RB and the # STL9RB, for your trailer. The inside of these lights are fully sealed for corrosion protection and you would only have to worry about sealing connections where the wires are spliced into the trailer wiring.
