Submersible Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, 6-Function, Right Hand

This is a submersible multifunction stop, turn, and tail light. This versatile light serves six functions: stop, turn, tail, rear reflex, side marker, and side reflex. The main red light measures 4-9/16" square x 2-7/8" deep; the attached red marker light makes the total length 5-17/64". The molded plastic housing and durable lens provide all-weather protection against corrosion. A gasket is included for a weathertight seal against the elements. The light features a screw-down, replaceable lens and easy-to-replace bulbs. The light socket is shockproof, guaranteeing long bulb life. The light mounts on the right side of the trailer with two studs on 2" centers. The wiring design contains the lead wires for power and is grounded through the mounting studs.

• How Long are the Mounting Studs on Submersible, Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, # ST6RB
  
• I went out to the warehouse and pulled a # ST6RB trailer light to measure the mounting studs. They are 3/4 inches long, so it does not look like they will work for your application. I also pulled Optronics tail light, # ST57RB. This is a different type of light in terms of the way it mounts. Instead of using studs that are built-in the light, this light has slots that you would slide over bolt heads in the trailer frame. I made a short video for you covering these aspects of the lights.

• Once the headlights are on, are the brake and turn signals on the trailer actually working? I always believe is trying the easy fixes first. Rather than the turn signals and brake lights being obscured by the running lights being too bright, I suspect what is actually going on is a poor ground connection. Your trailer lights work just fine, until the running lights are added to the mix. At this point, the lighting system is drawing full amperage, which is when a ground problem will manifest
