Cushioned hooks are adjustable for different sized bikes and ratchet down for the tightest fit. The whole thing folds up and out of the way when not in use!
Bike hooks slide easily down the ratcheting system and click securely in place. The push buttons allow the hooks to slide up the ratcheting system to allow for bike removal.
The wheel hoops accommodate wheels up to 3-1/2" wide, and turning knobs are used to adjust the distance between hoops to fit bikes of varying lengths.
This cross country model offers convenience and reliability for your traveling needs. With a two-bike capacity, it accommodates most frame sizes using wheel hoops and bike hooks. Constructed with soft-frame coating to protect the bike's finish, the bike hooks securely hold the bike in the wheel hoop cradles. The hooks smoothly slide up and down by using an easily-adjustable push button ratcheting system. The hassle of removing wheels is eliminated with fat wheel hoops that accommodate wheels up to 3-1/2" wide and adjust to fit different frame lengths. For easy storage or when not in use, the rack folds up to decrease its size. A powder-coated finish protects it from corrosion from the elements.

Today we are going to be showing you part number S64650, the XC2 Bike Rack from Swagman. It has easy loading, with up to two bikes carrying capacity. It has a new, push-button ratchet arm that easily adjusts to secure your bikes. The ratchet arms have a soft, frame-friendly coating to protect the bikes finish. And it easily adjusts to different bike frame sizes with a simple movement of the wheel holders. The XC carries a wide variety of bike frames without the hassle of removing wheels. And the rack folds up for easy storage or when not in use on the vehicle. This can be used for both 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch applications. Right now, you see it on the 1-1/4 inch version. Now, to make it a 2-inch, you have to put these pieces on. They fit on like so, and then you just simply put this bolt through. Now, it does not come with this, so you are going to have to have the right Allen key to tighten this down. Now it is ready for 2-inch applications.
OK, as you can see, we have it installed onto an average 1-1/4 inch receiver, and this one would be a Class I receiver. Next, we are going to show you how this tightens up to the hitch. And it uses an anti-rattle bolt, which bolts into the side. Now, this does not come with a tool to tighten it, so you are going to need a wrench or a socket to tighten it down. The next feature we are going to show off on this rack is how the arms fold. You see these three pins here: To control each arm, you pull the pin out and the arm moves. With the center arm here, this one also has a pin. You pull out the pin once again, this makes it easier to get to the bikes. Our next feature is going to be the wheel wells themselves. You will notice that the wheel wells have these turn knobs here. That is what makes these wheel wells able to move back and forth. Just loosen it up and you can move it to where you need it onto the rack and just tighten it down when you are ready. Now, to ensure that these wheel wells do not come off, when you put this together there is actually this tiny screw up here which keeps these from falling off. OK, and finally, with the center bar, we actually have the hooks that push the bikes down and lock them into place with the wheel wells. You can maneuver them by pressing it in to lift back up. And when you are ready, they lock into place like so, just simply by pushing them down.
Next we are going to go ahead and load a bike on here. Be sure the wheel wells match up and tighten them down. Then you go back to your hook and you simply push it down. Your bike is now secure and ready for travel down the road. As we stated before, this fits a wide variety of frames. We happen to use an alternative frame in this case, but I do want to stress that it does fit regular frame bikes as well. And that about does it for part number S64650, the XC2 Bike Rack from Swagman.

Nice bike rack Would have given all excellent grades however, there were a couple of small issues for me. First, the instructions are very general and could have been better detailed with instructions as to where the locking washers are to be installed for example. Second, I have a 2010 Camaro and can only fit one bicycle on the rack. There is not enough clearance for the pedals between the rear bumper and inner hoops. Perhaps there may be an extension I can purchase for the receiver bar but that may be a safety issue. All things considered for the price and the functionality the XC-2 is a great bike rack. I have used other racks and the Swagman XC-2 is the best I have ever used. Loading and unloading a bike takes about 10 seconds and the bicycle stays very well secured.3096

I bought this for our Class C Motorhome. It was pretty dang easy to install, and it's been from California to Colorado and every month up to San Bernadino moutains RV resorts. We carry 2 oversized beach cruisers, ones motorized with a 66cc Grubee and the wife's has an electric kit. It handels the weight of both just fine without any rattling or swaying. The anti-rattle lock works great and holds everything very secure. Definitely recommend this to any of you RV'ers looking for this style. Its awesome.16153

Installs easily, like the bolt that locks carrier to receiver to control "rocking" motion. Bikes load/unload fast and easy. However square tubing that inserts into hitch seems a bit lightwieght, allows bikes to sway back and forth during transit. Overall I am satisfied with product.14635

The instructions were a bit difficult to follow, needs to have more pictures and larger pictures where you can actually see the details. However, I sill was able to put it together in about an hour. Works great, much better than the "hanging" type of bike rack I was using before. Much easier to take the bike off and put it on. With this rack I can actually put my wifes womens bike on the rack. The hanging rack doesn't allow for the curved bars on the womans style bike.12176

I have not been able to fully use this bike rack yet. I purchased it to use on the rear bumper of our Travel Trailer that has a continuos welded box bumper. I set up the rack for my bike and drove a short distance with it in the reciever in my pickup and it seemed very solid. I am anxious to use it for its intended purpose.7455

the rack is great. It works great but the one bad thing is it is a bit heavier than I expected. I would recommend this for a mid size car or small suv but deficiently not a compact. Great rack just needs to be lighter...7289

Good product, however I like the rack. It is quick and easy to use. However, you cannot mount a 53cm and 58cm bike at the same time. To solve the problem you would need the long hook to be about two inches longer so it would slide down further on the ratchet bar or the notches on the ratchet bar would have to go to the top of the bar. If you turn the back wheel mounts up-side down you will gain about an inch of travel on the long hook and possibly enable the short hook to reach the notches on the ratchet bar.3377

Great Bike Rack This rack works great for vehicles with hitches - 1 1/4 or 2 ". I like that the bikes are supported from the bottom and it is quick to load or unload bikes. It is also convenient that the empty rack can be folded down for access to liftgate or trunk. The rack lock (64029) is also a nice item.3283

Well made and priced right! This is my first bike rack and after watching the video, decided to purchase. Once you get the rack set up to fit your bikes and find out which bike to load first and which direction so as to fit your vehicle, I can load both bikes in no more than a minute! No straps or bungee cords, just set them on and clamp down. We took a 200 mile trip and they never moved at all. Several of my friends have seen mine and also bought for their bikes. Great product I ordered the Swagman bike rack and a receiver hitch and received in a couple of days. Once you get the rack adjusted for your bikes and learn which hold down to use with each bike, I can now load both bikes in a couple of minutes. I received this rack as promised and immediately took it on a camping trip. The trip was 150 mi one-way so it got plenty of testing time. It performed flawlessly! The construction is very well thought out and well-made. I really like that it requires no additional straps...just the ratcheting hook is all that's necessary to hold the bike very secure. I put two bikes on it as the pics show. Another note...my truck has a dual rear exhaust but I had no issues with exhaust heat on the tires. This is a great product!25734

I ordered my hitch and rack on Saturday and they arrived on th following Wednesday. I took them to a friend of mine on Sunday and with his tools and equipment within an hour we had both mounted on the van. The hitch he did 98% by himself as he didn't have a large hoist and he worked from a creeper under the car. Every thing went perfect and I would recommend ETRAILER to anyone.20111
