- I spoke with my contact at Reese and as long as you are using the Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2 inch Trailer Hitches, item # RP45292, at the 24 inch extension length, there are no stabilization chains or cables required.
Since your trailer is over 6,000 pounds you would not be within the capacity of the Titan Hitch Box Extension at the 34 inch extension, so you will be limited to the 24 inch extension.
