Roadmaster Tow Bars - RM-9160

BrakeMaster is connected directly to the motorhome's air brakes and activates the brakes on the towed vehicle in response to changes in the motorhome's brake line pressure. Because it connects directly to what powers your motorhome's brakes, the BrakeMaster is a truly proportional, truly synchronized braking system.

Roadmaster's BrakeMaster system significantly reduces the stopping distance needed to halt the motor home and towed vehicle while at the same time increases control.

Features:
  • Works on any motorhome with air or air over hydraulic brakes
  • Works on Towed Vehicles power brakes
    • Will work on with or without ABS brakes
  • Meets US and Canadian braking requirements
  • Motorhome monitor provides a visual reference of braking activity and system performance
  • Easily disconnects from the towed vehicle brake pedal allowing a quick transition from towed car to road car
  • Includes a breakaway emergency braking system to stop the towed vehicle should it disconnect from the motorhome
Specs:
  • Some vehicles may require a floor adapter to ease installation.
  • Please Note: Installation of BrakeMaster system is very involved.
BrakeMaster is a proportional braking system
This means the brakes on the towed car are applied with approximately the same amount of pressure as applied to the motor home.

  • Base Plate Kit, Tow Bar, Safety Cables, Wiring, and Brake System to Flat Tow a 2010 Ford F-150 4X4
  • To flat tow your 2010 Ford F-150 behind an RV, you will need several items. First, Roadmaster Base Plate Kit, # 495-1A. I have included installation details below. Next, you will need a tow bar. Take a look at RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520. I have included a link to a video review and installation details below. Third, you will need safety cables as required by law. I recommend the RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643. Next, you will need a lighting kit

  • The RoadMaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar - 10,000 lbs, # RM-422, is a excellent tow bar for your application, since you might be towing the Chevy Silverado at a later time. The Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, # 523149-1, is the correct base plate kit for the 2008 Buick Enclave. The visible portion of the brackets can be easily removed so it is hard to tell that the vehicle has the tow bar base plates. The RoadMaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain Combo Towing Kit, # RM-9294-2, will have every

  • Supplemental Braking System for a 2011 GMC Sierra Towed by a 2005 American Tradition Motorhome
  • There are several supplemental braking systems that can be used in a vehicle being towed by a Motorhome. The easiest to use and install is the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System, # RM-9400. This system installs in minutes and works like a proportional brake controller. If you brake hard in the motorhome, the Even Brake will do the same. If you brake lightly, the Even Brake will as well. It also includes a built-in break away system and can be used on most vehicles with

  • Supplemental Braking System Recommendation for a 2007 Class A Towing a 2010 Jeep Unlimited Wrangler
  • I would recommend a portable system that provides proportional braking for the 2010 Jeep Unlimited Wrangler. Unlike the Roadmaster BrakeMaster systems, a portable system can be installed without the aid of a professional an eliminates the need to tie into the motor home braking system. The Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System, item # RM-9400, is an excellent system. Your Wrangler will also require a stop light switch, item # RM-751423, to be installed.
