NonBinding

Non-Binding Tow Bar

Release your towed vehicle with the flip of a switch in any terrain. Roadmaster's Freedom Latch disconnects the first time, every time, releasing your car even when it is at a hard angle or out of level with the tow bar. No more binding!

Egg Shaped Design

Superior Design

The unique, eggshell design of the Sterling All Terrain distributes stress evenly throughout its aluminum body, resulting in a lightweight yet durable towing system. The convenient channel guide serves a dual purpose: it keeps cords and wire safe and secure and creates an attractive, streamlined appearance.

Quick Disconnect

Quick Disconnects

Standard on most RoadMaster models, quick disconnects make it a snap to attach your tow bar. Their unique design lets you connect the tow bar to the bracket quickly and easily all by yourself and disconnect it the same way. These convenient brackets also make it simple to mount any number of RoadMaster accessories, from basic safety cables to the Guardian rock shield.

Cable Guide

Built-In Cable Guide

Because safety cables and wires all too often tangle and drag, and wrapping them around your tow bar before every use is just no fun, RoadMaster has introduced built-in, routing channels for their all-terrain models. Now you can tow with confidence, knowing that your cords and cables are safe and protected.

Storage Latch

Storage Latch

A feature unique to Roadmaster's All Terrain models, the patented Storage Latch makes it easy to stow your tow bar quickly and securely. Just fold the Sterling toward your motor home, and it automatically locks in place.

Video Transcript for Roadmaster All Terrain Towbar Review

Today we are going to show you part number RM-576 from Roadmaster. This is their sterling all terrain non binding tow bar with 6 wire electrical. This comes with the non binding freedom latch that disconnects the first time every time. It has aircraft grade aluminum construction, a shock absorbing arm design that reduces wear and tear, internally routed safety cables and electrical wiring for quick and easy hook up, and stainless steel shafts for increased strength and smooth trouble free operation. This system has a 6000 pound load capacity. It also fold up for storage on motor homes with the painted storage latch. Now we are going to go ahead and place it into a hitch and show you how it sets with other vehicles. Now seeing as we do not have an RV here we are going to be using just a regular run in the mill truck. We are going to be placing it on another apparatus just simulating what it would look like being hooked up to a car. Alright we are going to show you some more of the movement features of this. As you can see the bar here can move up and down as needed. Along with moving left and right or however you need it to move. You can see underneath here where those wires and cables would fit.

Now as far as the tow bar is concerned, this is what would actually be connected to your vehicle as it is being towed on down the road by your RV. It is really easy to take apart just take these pins here and here and the bar just simply slides right off. We will go ahead and show you how this comes off and show you how it works. You pull these pins back here first. The pins just simply come right out and the tow bar comes off like so. You lift the bars up like so and it folds in together. Then you will pull these levers here up to push these bars back into place. So you lift up and it falls right back in. It is the same thing for the other bar. You simply lift up in here and this knob will catch on this latch here which will latch it up into position and have it upright like so, or to either side. This makes it much easier for storage purposes like when you put it in your garage or when you are just parked and not going anywhere.

Now that we have it set up we are going to go ahead and show you how to put it back down and hook it all back up but also show you were these cables get hooked up too as well. You lower it down slowly and pull the arms apart. Now you will notice that these specifically uneven because I want to show you, as it goes down the road it actually will straighten out due to tension and turning. Get your pin and clip and slide it on through. If you notice here we do have it uneven so when it does go down the road after a few turns everything self tensions and it is all set. You see these connection points at the end here. To hook these up, you simply put it into the hole here and slide it down until it will not move. Then you take the other end and hook it up to the actual vehicle that is doing the towing. There you have it for part number RM576 this is the Roadmaster sterling all terrain non binding tow bar with 6 wire electrical outlets.
