Autowlok

Autowlok

The Autowlok system features stainless steel, telescopic tow arms that adjust independently for easy connection. When the towing vehicle pulls on the arms, they automatically center and lock in place. The arms also act as shock absorbers, reducing wear and tear on your tow bar.

Quick Disconnect

Quick Disconnects

Standard on most RoadMaster models, quick disconnects make it a snap to attach your tow bar. Their unique design lets you connect the tow bar to the bracket quickly and easily all by yourself and disconnect it the same way. These convenient brackets also make it simple to mount any number of RoadMaster accessories, from basic safety cables to the Guardian rock shield.

Video Transcript for Roadmaster Stowmaster Review

Today we are going to be showing you part number RM-501, the Roadmaster Stowmaster car mounted tow bar weighted at 6,000 pounds. The tow bar centers and locks itself as you drive ahead. That is a 6,000 pound capacity. The tow bar itself weighs 48 pounds, however this will not work with the MX series base plates. We are going to go ahead and show you some of the distinct features about this 48 pound tow bar. The tow bar gets attached to your vehicle using these brackets here and you can see they actually offer a wide range of movement as you are driving on down the road. These are the locking bars here and back here is the coupler mount which will be hooking up to your ball mount. Before we put this on we are going to show you how this folds up. As you see here this is bar that hooks up to the car. Turning this around you can see that this is locking it up to make sure that it does not move. You simply just turn like so and it folds up to a nice neat little area here. It defiantly makes it much more easy for storage.

Here is an example of what this apparatus might look like when it is attached to your RV and to your vehicle. Now you can see here that these arms are uneven. However as you go driving on down the road these are self tensioning. So you can make a few turns and everything locks up and is secure, free to move left to right or where ever you may need. Now unlike the other models from Roadmaster. This tow bar actually. Does not detach from the bars themselves as mentioned before it just simply slides together and forms one piece that folds out as you need it. There you have it for part number RM-501 this is the Roadmaster Stowmaster car mounted tow bar rated at 6,000 pounds.

  • Base Plates, Tow Bar, Wiring, and Safety Cables to Flat Tow a 1999 GMC Jimmy
  • If you have a regular model 1999 GMC Jimmy (not an S-15 model) then you will need to use a tow dolly like the RoadMaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes, # RM-2000-1, as there are no base plates available for the Jimmy. If you have an S-15 Jimmy, there are base plates available depending on what model you have. For a Jimmy Envoy, 4 wheel drive and not a Black Diamond, ZR2, or Xtreme, use # 179-2.
