Most tow systems require the use of some sort of hitch accessory to either raise or lower the tow bar to an appropriate level. The "Safe Zone" for a motor-home-mounted tow bar ranges from 3" above level to 4" below. Car-mounted models must be absolutely level. This roller hitch will give you the necessary drop while also preventing damage to your new ball mount via the steel roller, which allows the hitch to run along the ground without dragging or scraping.
