  • Completing the Wiring for a 7-Way Trailer Connector
  • The black wire coming out of the 7-way connector should be connected to 12 volt power from the vehicle battery. The blue wire connects to the trailer brake feed circuit coming from the brake controller mounted in the vehicle. If you need to run these wires for your connector you will need a 40 amp circuit breaker, item # PK54540, to attach the black power wire to the positive battery terminal. You can use the Wiring Kit for Electric Brake Controllers, item # 5506 and the 40 amp circuit breake

  • 6-Way Fifth Wheel Trailer Connector for 2011 GMC Sierra
  • If your Sierra already has the 7-way connector installed in the bed, you can use an adapter to convert the 7-way to a 6-way. Hopkins makes a great heavy-duty adapter. • There are a couple of different ways to add lighting functions on your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee so that it can be flat towed behind your motor home. If the motor home has a 6-Pole trailer connector, it would be easiest to use an adapter, 6-Pole to 4-Way flat, like # PK12717. You can then use diode kit, # RM-154. I have included a link a couple of videos that show typical installations of this kit for you to view. Another option would be to use the adapter and a magnetic kit, # C-ATL20A, if

  • Availability of a 4-Way Flat to 6-Way Round Trailer Connector Adapter
  • We actually have a pre-made 4-Way to 6-Way round adapter that you could use if you wanted to, # 30637. For this you would plug in the 4-Way on the vehicle to the 4-Way on the adapter, ground the white wire to the frame of the vehicle, and tape up the other 2 wires on the adapter if those functions are not needed (if you just needed lighting functions). To make your own you would need a 4-Way trailer end connector, like # HM48110, and wire the blunt cut bare wire ends to the 6-Way round you ha
