Putco Accessories and Parts - P230004C
Guard against LED-related turn signal problems with this load-resistor kit. Simple, effective system builds resistance that corrects flash timing, thereby preventing the "hyperflash" phenomenon that occurs with LED indicators.
Features:
- Fixes hyperflashing or burned-out bulb indicators on turn signals with LED lights
- Has compact design for tight applications
- Installs quickly and easily
- Works with most import and domestic vehicles
- Constructed of ceramic
Specs:
- 6 Ohms
- 50 Watts
- Lifetime warranty
Please Note: One kit is required for each LED bulb used in turn signal applications.
Because LED bulbs have little resistance on their own, they create a "hyperflash" situation when used in turn signals. This fast flashing is similar to what your factory signal light does when the bulb is about to burn out. To prevent this phenomenon, install a load-resistor kit along with your new LEDs. This kit will build additional resistance in the line to correct the flash timing, resulting in a properly functioning indicator.

- How Do I Install Load Resistors for the LED Lights on my 2007 Dodge 3500 Flatbed
- You will wire a load resistor into the wiring of each light socket that has an LED bulb and flashes. So basically you will need to wire a load resistor into any bulb that blinks or has a dual intensity feature that lights up when the brakes, blinkers, or emergency flashers are operated.
To do this correctly, you will need to wire the load resistor on the positive wire and then either ground it to the ground wire of the bulb, or to a good frame ground. You will need to do this for all of the L

- Lights Going Dim when Running Lights are Turned On After Adding an Incandescent Light for Resistance
- Adding an extra incandescent light is an acceptable solution for issues encountered when LED lights are added to a vehicle. The additional light adds resistance, as you have noted, to eliminate turn signal problems, much like the LED load resistor, # P230004C, that you referred to.
If your vehicle is equipped with LED lights from the factory there should no need for an additional light or a load resistor.
You may have a ground issue since the signal and brake lights are dim when the runnin
