This square LED light can be used as a clearance or side marker light. The red lens is reflectorized, meaning that a separate reflector is not needed for DOT compliance. The light measures 2-7/8" long x 2-1/8" wide x 15/16" deep. The molded plastic housing and durable lens provide all-weather protection against corrosion. This light has 6 light-emitting diodes which draw 0.058 amps at 12.8 volts. The light features a replaceable, screw-down lens. The black base mounts on the 5/8" long stud. The two-wire design includes the lead and ground wires to mount to any surface.

Today we are going to show you Optronics square LED trailer clearance and side marker light, part number MCL36RB. The lens of this light is reflectorized to DOT standards and is user replaceable. Inside are 6 LEDs that draw a total of 0.058 amps at 12.8 volts. The light uses a two wire design, meaning it will use one wire for ground and the other for power. On the back of the light is a mounting stud for attaching to your trailer. Next we are going to hook up a power supply so you can see how the light looks. Connect the white ground wire to our ground connection and our black power wire to out power. Next we will turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. I'm switching over to LED because my brother has good luck with them, and also because the DOT is cracking down on trailers in my state. Commerical guys are getting pounded with insanely high tickets for even one light out. These LED's have 6 per lamp, so if one fails, I'm told, you are still good. I don't have commericial trailers, but I am suspicious of governments that can't manage their money and look for was to screw over residents. I decided to gradually migrate to these lights on all my trailers.18345
