Video Transcript for Optronics Sealed Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light Review
Today we are going to take a look at Optronics sealed uni-lite mini LED side marker, part number MCL11RKB. Both the lens and the housing are sealed and waterproofed. Inside are two red LEDs that consume 0.030 amps at 12 volts. Optronics covers these LEDs with a lifetime warranty. The light is a two wire system, meaning you will have two wires coming off of the back, white for ground and black for power. Next we are going to hook it up to a power supply so you can see how it looks. We will connect the white to ground and black to power. Next we will turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. And that does it for Optronics sealed uni-lite mini LED side marker, part number MCL11RKB.

Red marker light Construction looks good. Light is not "flush" as described. Lens does stick out from the grommet. No big deal I guess.5600

these lights are very bright for their size...im using two of them on the bow guides of my boat trailer as a second set of brake lights...it would be nice if they were a 3 wire setup so they could stay light when the running lights are on as well as work together with the brake lights but for the price you just cant go wrong...LED's seem to last forever so spend the money once and never mess with them again15372

Bright and small We needed a flush mount clearance light for several dump truck bodies that repeatedly get damaged when dumping concrete debris. These are so close to flush mounted that they seem to be safe from damage vs the smallest surface mount light available. We are very impressed with the light output, and the wide angle of visibility provided by the lens shape.4467

Amazing!!! Ordered two of these lights, had planned on using them for marker lights until I hooked them up to 12 volts. WOW!!!
I now plan on mounting them, one in each fender, on my utility trailer as extra flash/stop lights. Yes, they are that bright!!

You will need to drill a 3/4 inch hole in the fender of your trailer in order to install a Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light # MCL11RKB.
These should wire up pretty easily to your trailer and would be run to the running light circuit of your trailer wiring.
The amber version of this light is the Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light # MCL11AKB.

You are correct, the rubber grommet included with the Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light, # MCL11RKB, is designed to be installed in a metal housing that is significantly thinner than the 1/4 inch plywood that you are using for the skin of your tear drop trailer.
I would recommend cutting a larger hole in the skin of your trailer and then adding a piece of aluminum with the light installed in that. Of course this would require a bit of body work for a professional looki view full answer...
I went out to our warehouse and measured a Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light, part # MCL11RKB, and found that you will need to have a hole that is 11/16 inches to install the # MCL11RKB.

You could use the Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light, # MCL11RKB, as a turn signal light. However, on most trailers, the brake and turn signal lights are usually on the same circuit. If you have this type of trailer, the light will light up with the brakes on.
When turn signals are separate, you might want to consider an amber light, # MCL11AKB, as a turn signal. These lights would probably work well on a motorcycle trailer (a trailer towed behind a motorcycle) but for view full answer...
