- Installing Hopins Brake Force Brake Controller on 2010 Toyota Tundra
- The wiring harness remains the same for the 2010 model as the 2009. The HM47815 will be an exact plug in for you, assuming that your Tundra was equipped with the factory tow package with the 7-way trailer connector on the rear bumper.
If you do not have the tow package, and have the 4-way connector only, you will have to hardwire the controller into the existing vehicle wiring.

- On your 2008 Toyota Tacoma with no towing package you will need to install the Tow Ready Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118496. It is a plug-in connector so there is no cutting or splicing required. This harness will plug into a connection located behind the vehicles taillights and will give you a 4-pole flat trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle.

- The black connector on the end of part # HM47815 will work with your Brake Force controller. However, the white connector on the other end is designed to connect to various Toyota trucks and SUVs and will not plug into your Vue which does not have a connector under the dash for connecting a brake controller. The connector can still be used, but the white connector will need to be cut off.
