Today we are going to show you the Hopkins Winter Protection Double-Sided Windshield Cover part number HM17511. The windshield cover easily installs on the outside of the windshield. The interior hooks come between the door and the frame and attach on the inside. In the summer the cover will keep the interior of your car cooler. In the winter it will prevent ice and snow from building up on your windshield. It is a universal item and it is designed to fit on virtually any vehicle and measures 70 inches long by 29 inches tall. 00:29
Next we will install the cover over the windshield. To secure the cover we will open the door of the vehicle and run the straps inside. You may have some extra length hanging over the door frame but it is okay to close the door on it. Once you have the cover laid over the windshield inside the car hook the two straps together. We are in the middle of December here at Etrailer and we are supposed to get a snow tonight. So we are going to park the car out in our lot over night and see how it does. Last night we got some freezing rain as you can see and we have got some ice built up on the glass. Now normally we would be out here 15 to 20 minutes before we were ready to leave and we would start the car to let it defrost or be out here with an ice scraper. But with the windshield cover, all of the ice is built up on the cover and the glass underneath should be clean. I love this windshield cover for snow and ice. Put it on before the winter storm comes and when you take it off after the storm the windshield is clean and wipers are not frozen to anything. No cleaning and scraping ice off of windshield anymore!! great product47617
