- The Fulton Spare Tire Carrier, part # FETCSTL0701, has an inside measurement of 3-1/8 inches at the narrowest point of the U-bolt. It is designed for 3-inch channel trailer frames.
If used on a 2-inch trailer frame, the spare tire could move on the frame from the extra play between the U-bolt and the trailer frame, even after the spare tire is tightened down. I would not recommend to use this Fulton spare tire carrier on a 2-inch frame.
