- I went out to the warehouse and pulled a Wallace Forge Flat Mount Trailer Coupler, # FC25, to test it. How it works is you remove the clip from the pin. Then you pull the pin away from the coupler and rotate it down, counter clockwise to open the coupler. The pin is held in place and cannot be removed. It can remain down (open position) but it could easily slip back to the closed position.

- I spoke with my contact at Wallace Forge and he informed me that bolt holes of this Wallace Forge Flat Mount Trailer Coupler, part # FC25 are 5/8 inch in diameter. You would need to supply your own bolts as this coupler does not include bolts.
This coupler is designed to be used as bolt on application. Also, this product is cast which makes it even harder to weld safely.
