Today, we're going to review part number F346000301, the Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler with a Cast Ball Clamp, fits a 2" hitch ball and will fit on a 3" channel. This coupler is a trigger latch style. This is a bolt on coupler. It has a Z-Max 600 finish, which offers superior corrosion resistance. It is designed to fit a 2" hitch ball. And do couple measurements, measures 3", so it will fit a 3" channel.

Another measurement will be the distance between the side-mounting holes on the side. We go from center-to-center, it is 3". This coupler does have a weight capacity of 6,000 pounds. And that should do it for part number F346000301, the Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler with the Cast Ball Clamp to fit a 2" hitch ball on a 3" channel.

The Fulton Fast-Lok coupler is heavy duty and very secure. Way better than what came with my 14x7 V Nose trailer. The Super Extra long ball mount solved my problems to get the ball lined up on my Jeep Liberty with the spare tire thats mounted on the rear door. What is the Maximum Tounge Weight Capacity of the Fulton Fast-Lok Coupler - 6,000 lbs
Trailer couplers are not rated for tongue weight capacity. They are rated for Gross trailer weight, as long as the gross trailer weight is within the capacity of the coupler, the coupler is installed properly and the trailer is designed properly, the coupler will handle the tongue weight of the trailer. Proper installation of the coupler is the key to it handling the weight it is rated for and the manufacturers directions should be followed explicitly.

Can Fulton Fast-Lok Coupler, # F346000301 Be used on a Majic Tilt Aluminum Trailer
An aluminum trailer does not necessarily require a specific amount of bolts for the coupler. But the coupler will require a certain number of bolts. You old heavier surge coupler was probably a lot longer and needed 3 bolts. The Fulton Fast-Lok Coupler, # F346000301, is smaller and only needs 2 bolts. The third hole should be capped or plugged or even run a bolt through it to help keep out moisture and road grime. I recommend that you get a coupler that has the same bolt hole size and pattern

Using 6000 lb Rated Coupler for 3500 lb Boat and Trailer
As long as the tongue on your trailer is 3 inches wide, the Fulton Fast-Lok coupler will work fine for you. There is nothing wrong with a little overkill. Keep in mind that the higher weight rating of coupler will not increase the weight rating of your trailer, as any towing system is only as strong as its lowest rated component.
