Quality steel piece, nice chrome finish, has a rubber gasket behind face to minimize rattles, fits Curt receiver perfectly.9682

Well made, a good fit (it has a neoprene gasket around the shaft just behind the plate to seal the end of the receiver once it's in place, so a push on the plate is required to insert the retainer pin). In this vulnerable location a plastic or aluminum plate wouldn't last long, but this stainless steel cover should stand up to road hazards and the likely encounter with a stationary object (rocks between the wheel ruts or a misplaced wheel stop in a parking lot). It'll bend, but it should still be serviceable after a bit of abuse.8604
