The TCS buckle has a non-slip spring loaded locking action that allows for quick and easy adjustment. The toothless design will not damage the webbing. With the buckle in the locked position, the end strap can still be pulled through the buckle to desired length. At no time will the web back up through the buckle. The patented design only allows the web to go one way. To release the lock, you simply have to pull the release tab and the load will quickly let loose. Whenever you have a situation where you have two solid points that won't move, the TCS buckle with over-the-center lock action works great. It locks tight and stays tight!

Alright. today we are going to review motorcycle carrier, part number AMC400 from Rage Powersports products. OK, this motorcycle carrier is their aluminum version with a tray that holds the bike that is aluminum. Also, the loading ramp is aluminum. However, the main post that goes into the receiver hitch is a painted and primer steel shank. It also comes with an anti-rattle device. So when you install it, it helps to keep it from rattling around a little bit. And the loading ramp is actually stored with the carrier. The carrier does come with a tie-down loop to help tie down your bike, too. There is one on the outboard side and one on the inboard side. There is a bolt in the front where you put your front wheels. It is adjustable. You can take out one bolt for larger size wheels and you install the bolt for a smaller size vehicle. This has a load capacity of up to 400 pounds. 0:53
Alright, we will go ahead and install the hitch pin. We are just going to use a standard hitch pin, as shown here. But also you can use your favorite locking hitch pin if you have one. Then we slide on our anti-rattle device as far as possible. And we will tighten up the bolts that go underneath. It helps to keep it from rattling around a little bit. Alright, next we will go ahead and employ the ramp. We will just go ahead and undo the wing nuts here. Put the wing nuts back into place. And attach our ramp right here, it has a hook. Go ahead and attach it and just pull it right down. Keep it straight and we can load our bike onto it. Alright, since the fact we are going to load up and have a larger diameter tire, we are just going to go ahead and remove this bolt right here so our wheel can fully sink in right here. OK, alright let us go ahead and load our bike. One side is going to sink down because the weight is going to be on one side. Then we will put the bike on the other side and it all balances out. 1:54
You can use your favorite tie-downs. However, in this case, we are going to be using part number EM05729 and those are from Erickson Manufacturing. Alright, the nice part about this strap is that it has a nice built-in loop at the end and the tie-down hook will actually go into that. And then you just have the fabric itself on your bike. It down not scratch up your surface too bad. So let us go ahead and just put it around the handle bar and then put it through the loop. See how it holds it? And to release it we will just unbuckle it right here by pushing down on this button. See how that releases? Alright and we put it onto our tie-down loop on the motorcycle carrier. Alright, once you have it the way you want it just go ahead and pull it back down. And it kind of ratchets it in place and you squeeze it together and it is secure. 3:04
OK, we are going to put the other one on to stabilize the bike. We are not going to put it completely tight because we need to have a little bit of wiggle room so we can get the ramp back on. Alright, to get the ramp loose we are going to roll the bike forward a little bit if you can and pick it up. And pull the ramp out. Then we will go ahead and store the ramp again. Then we will finalize tying down the motorcycle. And when you finalize it, you can go ahead and pull down on the strap even tighter. Alright, with our bike loaded up we are ready to hit the trail. And there you have it for part number AMC400, from Rage Powersports products.

Honestly I am surprised to see good reviews for these. I was VERY excited to order them thinking they would be a good mix of pull-down and ratchet straps. Soon after I got them I had to pick up a dirt bike. I compressed the front springs some, pulled the strap tight and then locked the buckle. Seemed to hold very nicely ... until I was less than a mile away and the bike was almost falling over!!! After stopping 3 different times to retighten the straps, I finally gave up and put my trusty ratchets back on and had no further problems. Manufacturer states that it is IMPOSSIBLE for the strap to loosen ... that is obviously not the case. I bought 3 sets and have yet to even open the other 2 sets due to this experience. The quality seems nice, but the function is just not there. They may work OK for none dynamic loads, but they sure did not do the job against my stiff bouncing motorcycle suspension. I think the problem is that the rods in the buckle have no texture to grip the strap like pull downs usually do. Add some texture to help grab the strap and I think these could be really great.30718
