- Matching Hitch Ball to Ball Mount DTBM4600
- You are correct! The thickness of the ball mount platform is 1 inch. We have hitch balls that will fit with capacities up to 7,000 lbs. The hitch ball shank length needs to be at least 2 inches.
We also have convert-a-ball hitch balls that go up to 10,000 lbs. If you are using the convert-a-ball system, the pin will lock into place and not fall off, even if no trailer is hitched up. I would recommend not leaving the ball and pin on your vehicle because of possible theft. We have shank covers
