This is the Aluminum Trailer Hitch Ball Mount from Diversi-Tech, part number DTBM4200. The Diversi-Tech ball mounts are made out of aircraft grade billet aluminum. This ball mount has a 14,000 trailer weight capacity and a 2,000 lbs tongue weight capacity. When used in the position, it provides 2 inches of , from the hitch receiver opening to the ball platform. When used in the rise position, it provides 1 inch of rise, from the top of the ball mount to the top of the ball platform. Diversi-Tech also builds in spring-loaded, stainless steel, anti-rattle balls, that help reduce some of the noise from the tow bar rattling inside the hitch. Aluminum Ball Mount Selection For 2005 Jeep Liberty
A difference in length of your hitch, or ball mount will effect the clearance from the trailer to the rear of your Jeep Liberty. What you would want to do is measure the clearance needed on your Jeep Liberty. To measure the clearance needed, you will want to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole out 8-1/4 Inches. This will be the location of your hitch ball. Then what you can do is move your trailer and position the coupler to that approximate location to see if there will be any issues
