Dutton-Lainson Trailer Winch - DL10954
Worm Gear, Loop Drive - 1,500 lb
Applications requiring safe, controlled movement of loads need the D-L worm gear winch. The reel automatically stops turning whenever cranking is stopped. There is no free wheel mode, no special mechanism required to stop gear movement and they do not require a minimum load for operation.
- Capacity: 1,500 lbs.
- Capacity is based on direct line pull on the first layer of line on the drum. Capacity is reduced as line builds up on the drum
- Laminated high carbon steel gears are heat treated for longer life
- Heavy gauge embossed steel base for extra strength
- Permanently lubricated bearing on drive shaft are maintenance free
- Loop drive allows the winch to be mounted out of reach and operated with an extension pole fitted to engage the loop
- Heavy duty 1/2" variable speed drill may speed up operation
- Powder coated copper bronze finish

- I went out to the warehouse and took pictures of the Dutton-Lainson Worm Gear Hand Winch, part # DL10954. I am including a couple of pictures that will show the dimensions on the winch.
The overall length of the winch is 5-1/2 inches. The overall height to the top of the drum is 5-1/2 inches. The height to the top of the side of the base is 4-1/4 inches.
The width of the winch is 4-3/4 inches. The overall width of the drum is 2-5/16 inches.
