Perhaps the simplest type of heat exchanger, the tube-fin effectively cools a variety of automotive systems. The concept is simple: Fluid cools as it travels through the core by transferring heat out to the fins. The fins then provide the surface area necessary for sufficient heat exchange to take place, allowing the heat pulled from the fluid to dissipate into the surrounding air. Quick, easy and effective.

  • Recommended Power Steering Cooler for a 1996 Ford Contour
  • We do not have any custom-fit power steering coolers for your 1996 Ford Contour, but if you could provide the diameter and style of your inlets, as well as how much room you have to mount the cooler, I would be better able to make a suggestion for you. The choice of a power steering cooler is going to depend on how much room you have near the power steering pump, and also how much airflow you can get into that area in order to assist the cooler in lowering the temperatures of your power ste

  • Recommendation for Power Steering and Transmission Coolers for a 2000 Honda Odyssey
  • You will need to measure the inner diameter of the lines to see if it will accept the 11/32 hose barbs on the cooler. If not, you may be able to use the Derale 3/8 Inch Hose Barb to 3/8 Inch Hose Barb Fitting, # D98028. It all really depends on what the inner diameter of the OEM hose is. I am fairly certain Honda also recommends a transmission cooler for towing as well. The transmission coolers we have listed for your 2000 Honda Odyssey come with and OEM spec hose and Insta-dapt radiator adap

  • Power Steering Cooler Recommendation for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab
  • I had a power steering fluid leak on my car and it ended up being a hose issue that was covered under a recall. This may be something you can look into by calling a dealer and asking about open recalls on your year and model Ram. If you do need to replace the cooler I would go with something larger like the Derale 4-Pass Tube-Fin Power Steering Cooler, # D13212. For the most efficiency in cooling, mount the cooler in front of the A/C condenser core in front of the radiator.
