The Original Custom Towing Mirror Slip on Mirrors by Longview
Slip on mirrors provide excellent towing visibility at an economical price. Mirrors come complete with hardware and are easily installed in minutes without any tools. The Original Custom Towing Mirror Slip On Mirrors utilize a positive hook and knob method to secure the mirror and also reduce wind vibration. The mirrors will not restrict the break away function of the OEM mirror housing nor the adjustment of the glass mirror.

Today on this 2008 GMC Sierra we are going to install part number CTM1600. We have got the parts laid out in order of assembly we just have it enough for the one side of the truck. The part number does come with two sets of mirrors and hardware. We have got our mirror and we are going to set it face down for now so this is facing the front of the vehicle. We will take this part that has a hook that has a round flat part. We are going to put it through the top and it is going to sit inside like that. Then take this angle part and that will slide on just like this and then take the knob and thread it on about 1/ 2 inch of thread. Set it up just like that. 00:47
Because this part right here is an angle it will be going back towards the back of the truck. Then take this hook and start the knob on that just enough to get it started and at this point we can install the towing mirror on to the factory mirror of the truck. When you have everything together the mirror itself just slides on and follows the contour of the mirror. Once you have the mirror slid on to the factory mirror, take the parts and push them around and this hook will catch the end of the plastic and then just push it around and let it catch. Once you have it the way you want it tighten down the knobs. Also you can see where the parts contact the truck there are some felt strips that come with it to help protect it and with that, that is how you install the mirror and all you have to do now is set it up for your personal preference as you go down the road.

I fitted these towing mirrors on my '07 Avalanche. They fit perfectly. The instructions about affixing the little felt strips was confusing and seemed a bit too wide for where they were to be place. They work but the strips should be modified a bit. Instructions should also be more clear. The mirrors look nice and give great visibility. I haven't put them to use yet but will do so very soon. I like the mirrors (item CTM 1600) I order for my 2010 Chevy Avalanche. When I placed my order they shipped within 24HR. and they gave me priority shipping. They were to ship in 5-7 day that was changed to 3-5 at no extra charge. After I received the mirrors I did have a question about the J-clip that is used to attaché the mirror. I didn’t think they were long enough, I could get the clip around the mirror on the truck but it is fairly tight. It wouldn’t hurt if these were a little longer as they have a nut on them to make the adjustment. I used the mirrors this past weekend pulling a 24’ camper trailer and I could see both sides of the trailer as well as the traffic that was coming up on me. There was little to no vibration at speeds up to 70 MPH. I would buy this product again and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for mirrors. And etrailer.com made the whole experience very pleasant. I am very satisfied !!!!23708

Shipping was amazingly fast. I slipped it on my 2007 Escalade EXT it fits great. The inside of the mirror system has pads that protect the original finish the mount fastens on very snug. Unfortunately I have to wait another month be for we can actually use these. Waiting for vacation time.12213
