Wedge Mount: These mirrors are generally standard on vehicles manufactured in the United States, regardless of vehicle make. However, there can be exceptions. Wedge-style mirrors must be removed by loosening a small screw or clip and pushing the mirror up toward the roof of the vehicle.

• I spoke with my contact at Toyota, and he said that the original mirrors can be electric, heated or of different colors. While generally these are wedge mounts on the 2009 Toyota Highlander, the only way to be sure what the original mirror was, would be to speak with your dealership. They should be able to tell from your VIN number which mirror mount came with your Highlander. Most likely you have a wedge-mount.
