The bed extender is mounted securely with stainless steel hardware to one bracket on each side of the truck's tailgate.
To remove the truck bed extender, just pull the pins.
Bed expander folds up, leaving all but 5" of the bed available for cargo.

- You should not have a problem installing the # BX4004-01 bed extender on your 2007 Toyota Tundra, but you will probably need to trim away some of the bed liner in order to install the mounting brackets.
The bed extender installs using two mounting brackets, one on each side of the tail gate. The bed liner trimming should be minimal, as these would basically be the only two points that would be obstructed.

- According to Topline, the Bed Extender # BX4004-01, can be installed on trucks that have a tail gate cover that is plastic/fiberglass or a spray in type. The lift out bar could get in the way of the extender. But, the extender is width adjustable so you could move it in or out as needed and then install the mounting brackets.
