Service from Etrailer is excellent: courteous, efficient, and shipping was immediate. I use the Loadstar ST205/75D14 tire on a tandem axle open trailer. I think the tire performs well and is very reliable, but these tires do seem to wear quickly. 73400

ST or Special Trailer tires are built differently than tires for cars or trucks. If they are not kept at their full inflation pressure, their weight capacity s as pressure s and they will wear more quickly.Check the total weight of your trailer and make sure you are not over the weight capacity of the tires, or even really close to it. If so, you may want to look at going up to a load range D tire or keeping a closer eye on tire pressures.

I needed the tires ASAP so I called after finding the tire that I wanted. I was told it would take 24-48 hours to ship and 2 days free shipping. I got confirmation that it shipped the night that I called and had them 2 days later (less than 48 hours total).52986

  • What Size Metric Trailer Tires Will Fit In Place of Size F78-14 Tires
  • For your older trailer tires, you can use size 205/75-14 as replacements. We have three tires in this size. The first is a radial tire, # AM10234. Since it is a radial tire, it is more durable and will provide a better ride. It is rated for 1,760 pounds at 50 psi. We also have two bias trailer tires. First is # AM1ST86. This is a load range C tire good for 1,760 pounds at 50 psi per tire. The other is a load range B bias trailer tire # AM1ST84. It has a capacity of 1,430 pounds at 35 psi per

  • Why do My New Radial Trailer Tires Look so much Taller than the Old Bias Ply Tires
  • The ST205/75D14 and ST205/75R14 should be essentially the same size. There are differences between tire brands and to a lesser degree between bias and radial. Normally the bias ply tire will look taller because of the difference in construction from the radial tire. If you have had the ST205/75R14 tire mounted yet, the tire will look much taller until it is seated on a properly sized wheel. I recommend using tires of the same height and construction, radial or bias on both sides of the trail

  • The F65-14ST trailer tire is a comparable size to the ST205/65-14 size. However we do not carry either tire. The closest tire size we have is the ST205/75-14, like the item you selected, Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire, part # AM1ST86. What you would need to do is take some measurements for the correct replacement tire. The height of your ST205/65-14 tire has an overall height of 24.49 inches and a width of 8.07 inches. The overall height of a the Loadstar # AM1ST86 measures 26.1 inch

  • Will Bias Ply Trailer Tire Sidewalls Flex Less than Radial and Help With Snowmobile Trailer Sway
  • Snowmobile trailers are notorious for having sway problems due to their short lengths and wide construction. this makes it hard to load the trailer with enough tongue weight to eliminate trailer sway, especially at higher speeds. The best prevention against trailer sway is proper trailer loading. Going with a bias ply ST rated trailer tire may help a bit because the tire construction is inline with the tires direction of travel and the radial tires construction is across the direction of trav

  • Can Regular Trailer Tires be Used to Replace Mobile Home Tires on Trailer
  • Due to the oddball rim size (14.5x6), there are no trailer tires available for that wheel size. We do offer a replacement tire, part # AM10321 that would work for you. Keep in mind that this is a mobile home tire. It is designed for one-time use in moving a mobile home, and is meant to be discarded after that. Using mobile home axles and wheels seems like a great idea at the time folks are constructing a home made trailer. They are cheap and readily available. The problem is that replacement

  • Are Radial or Bias Ply Tires Better on a Trailer With 3 Axles
  • If the option is available I would recommend a radial tire over the bias tire because the radial tire will provide better stability and more ground contact resulting in a more comfortable ride. A radial tire is going to have better tread wear over the bias ply tire, but when your front axle drags during tight turns it will still take a toll on the tires. Some times drag cannot be prevented, but the best thing to help with this issue is be sure you are towing your trailer as level as possible

  • Should 20 Year Old Trailer Tires Be Replaced
  • As a general rule of thumb, trailer tires should be replaced every 6 to 8 years regardless of wear. Even though an older tire might appear to have plenty of tread left on it, dry rot and cracking can cause tire failure. The mating surface behind the bolt holes should be flat, and should mate perfectly with the face of your hubs. I would definitely replace the tires before using the trailer again. If the wheels are showing signs of corrosion, I would also recommend replacing them with a gal

  • Replacements Needed for 7.00 x 14 Tires on Boat Trailer
  • The closest modern tire size to the 7.00 x 14 size you mentioned would be a ST205/75-14. The two load range C tires we offer are part # AM1ST86 in bias ply and # AM10234 in radial. The ST205/75-14 is about an inch larger in diameter and 3/4 of an inch wider than the tires you currently have. The load range C tire in that size is rated for 1,760 lbs at 50 psi. For optimal tire performance and to realize the full load bearing capability of the tire, it should be kept inflated to the maxim

  • What is the Speed Rating on a Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1ST86
  • The trailer tires we carry, like # AM1ST86, are rated for 65 miles per hour. The only exception is if the sidewall on a tire states differently which on this tire it should not. Another tip I can offer is that trailer tires should be inflated to the maximum psi as indicated on the tire for the longest life and best performance. On this trailer tire it is rated for 1,760 pounds at 50 psi. I have included a link to our FAQ article on tires.
