If you have air springs but you're tired of manually adjusting the air pressure, then the SmartAir automatic-leveling system is exactly what you need. SmartAir senses changes in your load weight using magnets and two electronic height sensors (EHS). Each magnet is mounted to your vehicle's axle or leaf spring, and the EHS are mounted to the frame. When weight is added to your load, the magnet will rise above the EHS. The system detects this difference in height, and if the magnet does not return to its previous position after 25 seconds, then the system automatically realigns the magnet and sensor by adjusting your air spring pressure appropriately. The same goes for when the weight of your load is reduced: Air will be automatically released from your helper springs to bring your vehicle back to normal ride height.

The SmartAir system has dual sensors, so it can control two air bags independently of each other for more leveling power and control. This allows the system to level your vehicle side to side when you are hauling an off-center load. The system will also level your vehicle from front to back when you are carrying a heavy load, which will significantly improve braking, steering and tire wear.

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can install the magnets and EHS so that the system will automatically adjust your air springs to maintain normal ride height.
