Right Angle, 3-Wire Pigtail for Sealed Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Lights

A three-prong, molded plug with a 6" lead for use with sealed lights, especially combination stop, turn, and tail lights. This three-wire, right angle pigtail has color coded wires coming from the plug. The red and black lead wires are bare at the ends and the white ground wire has a #10 ring terminal on the end.

• How Do I Wire a 3 Wire Pigtail # A47PB to a Trailer that has 2 Tail Light Wires
  
• You will wire the black and red wires from the 3 wire pig tail to the two wires from your trailer, the red wire will be wired to the turn signal circuit and the black wire will wire to the tail light circuit. The third (white) wire from the pig tail is the ground wire and will need to be attached to a good clean ground on your trailer.

• The method you described is a very effective method for making connections on boat trailers. The heat shrink will create a water tight seal to keep out moisture. It also does not hurt to apply electrical tape # BT6 6over the heat shrink also as an added seal. Another option is to use Liquid Electrical Tape # SWC50122 instead of heat shrink and then put electrical tape over that as well. It is also recommended that you disconnect trailer connector before you back the boat trailer into water
