  • Amperage of Factory Brake Controller Pigtail on 2005 Dodge Ram
  • We have never come across this 15 amp maximum. Take a look to see how that 12V feed is fused. I would consult the owners manual to find the location of the fuses that manage the towing circuits on your truck. They are usually located under the hood. Usually the 12v power feed for the brake controller has a 20 amp fuse for a 2 axle application. If you are concerned about it, you can always run a separate hot lead via a 20 amp circuit breaker like part # 9506 to the battery. For a two axle trailer

  • Installation of the Prodigy On a 96 Winnebago p-30 chev.
  • Installation of the Tekonsha Prodigy should be fairly easy with the Winnebago having a 7 -way connector installed from the factory. There should be a wiring harness under the drivers side dash that will have at least 4 wires to connect to the brake controller. I do not have vehicle specific information on the Winnebago wiring location but it should be there if it was a factory option. The wires should provide brake controller functions. If you have a GM chassis then the colors of the wires may b

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Bake and Turn Signals Not Working on Trailer Towed by 2003 Ford F-250
  • A pulse preventer would be needed if when towing with the hazards on, the display on the brake controller also flashes. This could then potentially be felt in the trailer brakes if the brake controller is set to a high level. It would not help with the turn signal and brake light problem. In situations like this, its best to start with the easiest possible solutions. First, I recommend cleaning the connectors on both the truck and the trailer. Any dirt or corrosion could cause a problem. Next

  • Is a Cover Necessary to Protect Circuit Breakers Once Installed on a 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser
  • The circuit breakers do not need to be covered, as they should be mounted in an unobtrusive area under the hood of your 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser, typically on the back wall below the windshield, or inside the driver side fender, near the vehicle battery. No snap on cover is available. If you choose, you could probably put some cap nuts on the exposed posts on the circuit breakers, but if there does seem to be some risk that the posts on the breakers would come into contact with anything, the
