Today we are going to show you part number 912H2, the Hang2 by Boone Outdoor Hardware. What we have here is a wall mounted trailer hitch accessories storage rack. Basically this is a nice little deal that you can bolt to the inside of your garage wall, or any wall, for that matter. And you can use it to organize your bicycle rack, cargo carriers, the Boone tailgate tables, drawbars or other hitch gear. It maximizes a lot of storage in just a little bit of space. We will go ahead and add a couple of accessories onto it and show you how valuable this part is.
First off, we will start with a regular Class III receiver. Simply slide it on and then this pin holds it in place, and then this little safety pin will keep it from falling off. Now one accessory is out of the way and we will add our bicycle rack onto it. Slide it into place and and install your clip. The Hang2 does come stocked with two 5/8 hitch pins. If you do have a Thule or Yakima rack, you will need a different type of pin for that, and you would need to see part number 90H2S.

- We do not have a photo, but we have a demonstration video. The video goes over how the holder mounts and how put bike racks or cargo carriers on it.
Since the Softride racks use certain threaded hitch pin holes, you would need a different holder from Boone, part # BH90H3FS. I have added a link to the part and the demonstration video below.

This unit has a pin designed to fit through the threaded portion of the bike rack shank. You will need to make sure that the Hang2 is secured to the wall properly (such as to a wall stud) in order to support the rack. The pin in the 912H2 model is not compatible with the threaded hitch pin hole on the bike rack shank.

- I walked out to our warehouse and pulled the Boone Hang2 Wall Mounted Hitch Storage, part # 912H2. The instructions state that the maximum capacity it can hold is 45 pounds on each side for a total of 90 pounds.
With the weight capacity being 45 pounds per side, it would not be able to hold the weight of the bike rack with a bike mounted to the bike rack.
The weight capacity of the item also depends on the wall you mount it to. You want to make sure and attach part # 912H2, to a stud in

- The Boone Hang2 Wall Mounted 2 Inch Hitch Storage Rack, part # 912H2, will only work with a 2 inch bike rack.
For bike rack storage of a 1-1/4 inch bike rack I would have the Boone Dock Bike Rack Storage, part # BH94112, and the Boone Docking Station Bike Rack Storage, part # BH95212. They are both floor mounted storage racks. The racks will not work with Thule, SportRack or Yakima bike racks with built-in anti-rattle devices.
