Today we are going to install part number 87719 from Hidden Hitch. On our 2005 Chrysler Town and Country. This also applies to part number from Draw Tite 75305. Our first step to install is to remove a few bolts. Starting with these 3 bolts in the shackle. You take out the 2 bolts on the outside and then finally the center bolt. Then behind here the first bolt behind it. We need to take this bolt out of there as well. All of this hardware will be reused. The next step is to go ahead and install the hitch. This is a good point to get a second pair of hands. You will have to wiggle it within the hitch itself then bring it back to the rear of the vehicle. We have the hitch hung by one bolt on each side to hold it up. Next we will snug that bolt down and watch the hitch wrap around that center bolt. Sometimes it helps to snug that bolt down and it pops around the center bolt.
Once you have that done you can get your outer bolt installed. After you get the hole lined up you can go ahead and install your other bolt. Once you get done moving the hitch around the way you want it just make sure this edge is sitting around the washer here. If you can feel the edge make sure it is the edge of the hitch is flush and sitting on top of the spring hanger. There should not be any sort of opening there what so ever. The next step is to these spacer plates that go in between the hitch and the frame. The factory bolt is going to be put back in. Sometimes this does not line up. It actually flexes pretty easy at this part. Once they are lined up and ready to go we can snug them up and do the same for both sides. Next we can get ready for the final torque. That takes care of our install of part number 87719 on a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country.

Best online purchase I have made by far. Shipping spot on. Directions perfect and the videos helped tremendously. It only took 15-20 minutes to wire the harness and 25 minutes to install the hitch. Great people products. Highly recommend and will purchase from Etrailer again. Thank you very much18033

In your video you show how you may need to pry the hitch over to line the holes up and insert the bolts. I had nearly 3/4" in order to line up the holes. I did get it but I was not happy. I thought I would need to grind the holes out to make it work. On the bright side, the hitch came promptly and in good condition. Looks great now that it's on.16727

The produtd arrived on time and everything was accounted for. I installed the hitch on my garage floor with the back of the car on some care ramps. The installation was easy with only 6 existing bolts to back out and then attach the hitch. The hitch fit great and installed with hand tools within 1 hour. This is the second trailer hitch I have gotten from etrailer and I had a great experience both times. My only complaint is that the paint was not as good on this hitch as the one I got a few years ago.16269

Easy install. The instruction video online was very helpful. Managed to do it all alone, but would recommend having a friend to help as it is fairly heavy.9075

Town and Country hitch installed Here are some pics of my installation. Hard to take since the hitch is so hidden. Very satisfied with the product and the service. Installation went pretty well. Turned out that it was very important to get the hitch up as high as possible (and aligned on both sides with the bolt holes) before trying to get the bolts back in and to keep all bolts loose until they are all in. Took me a little longer than expected but then I wasn't working on a lift and I am in my early 60s. However, I am very satisfied.4939

The Hidden Hitch Installs Great! I have a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country with Stow N Go Seating. I chose the class III 2" Hidden Hitch brand so the rear of the van would have a hitch that looked nice and was not bulky. The installation instructions that came with it was very easy to understand. I installed the hitch by myself while laying on the ground without jacking up the van. The bolt holes lined up easily and were all cut to fit perfectly. I was very surprised by how easy it was to install. I would highly recommend the Hidden Hitch product for this application. The hitch really looks great on the back of the van. (If you are installing it by yourself, no need to even jack the van up. Installing from the ground works fine.)3701

Looks and works great! Bought the hitch to tow my trailer. Easy to install but it would have helped to have another hand. Only problem on install was that one hole did not line up but that is what they made a screwdriver for. Looks better than any of the photos show. Just a little hint if you are installing by yourself, do one back bolt on one side then go to the other side and do the front bolt then you can line it up better with the screw driver. Thanks etrailer for the quick shipping!!!1092

quality construction I got this hitch to hook a bike rack to on the back of my mini-van. The install wasn't 100% smooth as the holes weren't exactly perfectly aligned (I think if I had someone else helping me it would've gone smoother) so it was a little tricky but other than that I've very happy with this hitch.871
