Today we will be working on a 2007 Nissan Frontier. We will be installing Draw-Tite part number 75282, which is also comparable to Hidden Hitch part number 87539. Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you with ing accessories for your new hitch such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to your outermost point of your bumper is 3-1/2 inches. And from the top of your receiver tube to the ground is 16 inches. Now let us go ahead with the installation. 0:31
Our first step for the install will be to locate our fastening points. There are a total of six of them. You can see the three here on the driver side. And there will be three identical on the passenger side. Before I go and install my hitch, first I want to hit each one of my fastening points with some lubricant or penetrating oil. Then I am going to take a nylon tube brush, part number 814092, and clean out the threads of those weld nuts to make sure our new hardware will go in nice and smoothly. Let us go ahead and try one of our new fasteners to make sure our threads are cleaned out thoroughly. As you can see, the bolt threads in nicely. I am going to go ahead and try that for the other two holes on this side. And then I am going to repeat the same process on the passenger side. 1:21
We will be using the fasteners supplied in the hardware kit. You will see a lock washer will go on first and then a flat washer and we will put that up against the hitch. Now we are ready to install our hitch. It is a good time to get an extra set of hands to help you hold it in place while you mount your fasteners. Now that we have all of our fasteners in place we can go ahead and run them down. That completes the driver side. I am going to repeat the same process on the passenger side. Alright, now that we have all of our fasteners run down, we are going to go ahead and torque to specifications. Alright, now that we have all of our fasteners torqued to specifications, that completes the installation of Draw-Tite part number 75282.

This hitch receiver fit my 2012 Nissan Frontier perfect and took less than 15 minutes to install. It is very well build with strong welds and lives up to its "hidden hitch" name. Once installed it fit nicely against the frame and did not hang down under the rear bumper like some other types. Etrailer.com also shipped my order really fast, I could not be happier. 27133

GREAT PRODUCT DELIVERED VERY FAST LESS THAN 4 DAYS. INSTALLATION TOOK LESS THAN 20 MINUTES WITH MY 7 YR. OLD HELPING. I HAD TO TAKE A FEW POINTS OFF DUE TO 2 SMALL CHIPS ON THE POWDERCOAT WHERE UPS BEAT THE BOX UP SO BAD THE HITCH WAS HANGING OUT OF ONE CORNER BUT THE DAMAGE IS NOT NOTICEABLE. I DON'T THINK ETRAILER WAS AT FAULT UPS WAS JUST TO ROUGH WITH THE PACKAGE. I WILL DEFINATELYUSE ETRAILER IN FUTURE.15781

30 minutes to clean the rust out of the weld nuts on my frame, 15 minutes to bolt it in place. At 30 degrees in the wind, a minor miracle. Time-saver: Instead of using a tubing brush by hand as shown in the help video (cleaning weld nuts), mount the brush in your rechargeable drill, put your safety glasses on and use the rotary action (and frequent sprays of oil) to clean out the threads. 10553

Hitch is nice. A breeze to install. Took myself 15 minutes, w/ only a 19mm socket and 6" extension. Sit the hitch on something sturdy, maybe two cinder blocks. Lift one side and insert one bolt leaving it a little loose to allow for alignment. Lift other side, insert all bolts, and snug up, and then finish the first side. Torque to 68 ftlb's and your finished.10322

Installed on my 2010 Nissan Frontier. I used the brass brush from my shotgun cleaning kit. Attached it to my drill and along with some WD-40 made quick work of cleaning the frame weld nuts. Used two buckets to prop up the hitch under the truck and the small lift needed to start the bolts was easy for this 57 year old. Waiting now for the wiring kit to arrive. Need to pull a panel, a bit nervous about that part of the job.28807

Well, the on line video sold the product. At first I thought I woudl have problems lifting the hitch up to the truck frame but with the help of a floor jack and a few pieces of 2X4s it lifted into plac, intalled the bolts and tioerqued them to 68 ft lbs. This is a perfect product and if the rest of my life went this easliy I would be in great shape. Thanks Thanks9580

I am 62 years old with average mechanical ability. The hitch arrived and I called a friend to help me. By the time I backed the truck up on the ramps and stretched out a cord for light to use underneath....I had the hitch installed in 22 minutes and the tools put away!! My friend had not yet showed up....The hitch was a bit heavy to hold up so I used long nylon ties to suspend it temporaily while I installed and tightened the included bolts. I had figured at least an hour....Excellent!!!8545

Good looking hitch 07 Frontier The hitch was difficult to install on my particular truck. I do not believe it was the hitch's design though. I had a hard time getting my bolts to start due to the rust. The truck frame should have course threads instead of a fine threads. My truck is three years old so the threads were pretty rusty. I would recommend running a tap thru first on the frame (to clean up the threads) on older trucks. Overall the hitch looks great and is a very nice product. 3554

Problem with exhaust pipe Overall, it's a good item. Mine was delivered slightly bent where I needed to connect it to my frame. The bend also happened to be at the attachment point closest to the exhaust. Even if there wasn't a bend in the metal, it was time consuming working around that pipe. Also, you might need something to support the hitch while you're installing it. But, it works great and looks great, so I'm very pleased overall.580
