- There is not an adapter available at this time to install a fifth-wheel hitch using your Fold-Down Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, item # 8339. I have heard of people installing fifth-wheel rails along with gooseneck systems but this type of installation should be left to professionals that have experience installing both of the hitch systems.

- Installation rails are needed with the gooseneck hitch. For the Reese Fold Down Gooseneck Hitch, part # 8339 you would need Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation Rail Kit, # 4448.
The rail system is what actually attaches the hitch to the truck frame. The truck bed itself is not strong enough to provide the only attachment point.
For your convenience, I will provide links to the install instructions for the rail kit as well as the hitch itself.
