Works perfect! I got one of these because the tongue jack on my trailer was hitting the rear-mounted spare tire on my Jeep. Problem solved! I especially like the fact that it has a 6000/600 capacity, unlike the adapter things that all seem to lower the hitch capacity to 3500/350.773

This draw bar is working out great. My spare is 13 inches wide and only 2 inches above my receiver. This bar allows me to connect my trailer with ease. I was using an extender and it required two locks ,it was heavier, and just more trouble to use. Now I am ready to go in minutes.21835

Fortunately, this is a case where any lost tongue weight capacity will be negligible (unless you add a severely long ball mount). But you are correct; adding adapters or extensions can cut your tongue weight capacity by 50 percent in many cases. Will Using a Super Extra Long Ball Mount Increase Trailer Tongue Weight at the Hitch, Toyota RAV4
It looks like you are using Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75432, on your Toyota RAV4. Since this is a class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver, it can handle the additional torque associated with using a longer ball mount like # 80233. The trailer tongue weight will remain the same. If it is 212 pounds pushing down on the hitch at 8-1/2 inches, it will still be 212 pounds at 16 inches.
