Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Today we are working on a 2009 Toyota Venza. We will be installing part number 75663 by Draw-Tite. It is also comparable to Hidden Hitch part number 87521. Here are a couple of measurements to help you accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost point of the bumper is 3-1/2 inches. And from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 13 inches. 0:24
Our first step is going to be to remove this sway bar bracket. I am going to go repeat the same steps on the driver side. Our next step is to remove the muffler exhaust hangers or insulators. Before I do that, I like to install a strap across just to help hold up the exhaust when we remove the hangers. I like to also put a little lubricant on my hanger just for the ease of removal and reinstallation later. There is the passenger side. Now I am going to go over and repeat the same steps on the driver side. Now that we have our exhaust lowered and out of the way, what we want to do is remove the covers off the frame weld nuts. We have two here on the passenger side. We also have two on the driver side that we will go ahead and do now. 1:25
OK, now we are ready to install our new hitch. This is a good time to get an extra set of hands to help you put it in place. Right now we are just installing our rear two most fasteners. We just want them finger tight so that we can move the hitch around until we get all of our hardware in place. So we have the rear two fasteners in place. We will be reusing the bolt from the sway bar bracket. So we just barely thread it in our upper bolt enough that we can still this block on our lower bracket. And reuse the manufacturer nut. Now we are finger tight on the passenger side. We will go repeat the same process on the driver side. OK, now that we have all of our hardware installed, we can go ahead and tighten things down. That completes the tightening for the passenger side. Now I am going to go ahead and repeat the same process on the driver side. 2:36
Alright, now that we have everything tightened down, we can go ahead and torque to specifications. Go ahead and repeat the same process on the driver side. OK, now that we have all of our hardware tightened down to specification, we are going to reinstall our exhaust hangers. Alright, that completes the two on the passenger side. We will repeat and do the same process with the two on the driver side. Alright, now that we have all of our exhaust hangers reinstalled, we can remove our security hanger. This completes the installation of Draw-Tite part number 75663 on our 2009 Toyota Venza.

Venza Hitch E-trailer provides excellent service, the website was easy to navigate. I found exactly what I was looking for. I also like the fact that the website also gave suggestions in trailer accessories. The Venza hitch installation looks fairly simple. The muffler does not seem that difficult to remove completely. By doing so, It would make the hitch installation much more simpler by allowing more room to work. The instructions for the wiring kit is straight forward but the illustration pictures could be clearer. 3817
