Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.
Features:
Specs:

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.
At etrailer.com we're committed to the products we sell, and to our customers. Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Today on this 2010 Toyota RAV4 we are going to install Hidden Hitch part number 70785. This installation will also apply to Draw-Tite hitch part number 75432. We are underneath the vehicle, and we are going to start by looking at the driver side frame rail. You can see over here we have an existing tow loop that is held in place by two bolts. We want to remove that first. With that removed you can see that we have three weld nuts here at the rear side of the frame. We are going to use this one here, and this one here as our two attaching points for the trailer hitch. That is going to be the same on the driver and passenger side. :36
Any weld nuts that we are going to be using that did not have an existing bolt in them may have some corrosion and road grime built up in them. If that is the case then you may want to clean the weld nuts our first before you try and put your weld nuts up in position. To do that, we need to take a spray lubricant like a WD-40 and spray the weld nut thoroughly. Then you want to take a wire brush and run that in there a few times to get the weld nut nice and clean. You may need to do this several times to get all of the corrosion and road grime knocked out of there. It would not hurt to test fit the bolt to see how much resistance you have. 1:08
Into the new weld nuts you are going to be using the new hardware that is provided with the installation kit. They are 12 millimeter bolts along with conical tooth washers. Again, that is going to be the same on all the weld nuts. With that, we can put the hitch up in position. Over on the passenger side, if you are having trouble getting the forward most bolt into place because the exhaust is in the way, you can remove the exhaust off of its rear most hanger to give you more working room. To do that, we are going to take a spray lubricant, like a WD-40 and spray the studs of the exhaust hanger here. Then we can simply take a pry bar or a pair of pliers and separate the stud and the rubber hanger. Now that we have the hitch up in place and the bolts tightened down we can go back though and torque our bolts down as specified in the instructions. With our bolts torqued down, we want to put our exhaust back up on its hanger if we lowered it earlier and our installation will be complete. 2:11
Now that we have our hitch installed we are going to give you a couple of final installed dimensions that may make choosing your hitch accessories a little bit easier. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 12-1/2 inches. From the center of the pin hole to clear the rear edge of the bumper is approximately 4 inches. That will conclude the installation of Hidden Hitch part number 70785 on a 2010 Toyota RAV4.

Installed on a 2011 Rav4. The only hitch, pun intended, was that the holes didn't line up so the 'L' shaped brackets needed to be bent out a little. This was accomplished by tightening down on bolts on the side that looked like it was most bent in and then pulling down on the opposite side; checking frequently to see if the holes lined up.23108

Took only about 20 minutes to install on 2011 Rav4 with no help. Very pleased with the hitch. The install video on the web site was great. The shipping box could be sturdier, was damaged, as was the box for the bike rack that i also purchased. Should be shipped separately.21276

2011 Rav 4 - The hitch arrived surprisingly fast with the basic free shipping, which was great. There were some minor scratches/scuffs that I covered with black spray paint - no big deal, either. If I paid a premium price, I would have expected a flawless product, but since I didn't, I was satisfied with the condition, overall. One of the sides was bent in about 1/8 of an inch, which turned out to be a problem on install as the bolt holes didn't all line up. So, I contacted customer service and got some instructions on how to bend it out. It is not ideal for it to arrive bent, in my opinion, but fixing it was not as hard as one might expect. It took me a little over an hour to install, including time to tweak hitch to get the holes lined up. I had no lift and no help, both of which would have been useful since its pretty awkward, but doable, even for a rookie like me. One other install note - the muffler gets in the way even after taking it off the hanger. And getting it off the hanger takes a little work, too. But - it's on now and looks great.20062

The Drawtite hitch for our 'new' 2008 RAV4 arrived undamaged except for a couple of small chips in the paint from handling. It's well made and fit the RAV4 perfectly. The M12 threaded holes in the car were somewhat rusted and I didn't have a tap on hand to chase them. The new hitch came with an extra M12 bolt so I cut two groves 180 degrees apart approx. 1/16" deep in the spare bolt at the thread end with a die grinder cut off wheel (you could also use a hacksaw) to make a poor mans chase tap. I ran the bolt all the way into the four holes in the car and blew them out with compressed air. They cleaned up nicely and I bolted up the hitch with a little never seize on each bolt. The installation took about an hour including raising the vehicle and cleaning up the M12 holes. Installing the flat-4 harness took a few hours but I learned a few things along the way which would make the job go much faster next time. The video for installing the harness was a good overview but lacked detail for interior trim removal to prevent damaging the trim panels. A very handy tool for removing auto interior trim can be purchased at Harbor Freight Tools for under $10. It consists of a set of various shaped spoon-type tools for slipping under the edge of trim panels to pop out the retaining fasteners without damaging the trim. The tools are reinforced nylon and take a good amount of force without breaking. Worth the money. If you take you time and carefully find the trim retainers as you go you will not damage or buckle the trim. I decided to run the 12v hot 10ga wire to the battery via the door threshold raceway along with the factory rear to front harness rather than under the vehicle as shown in the video. I removed the rear and front drivers side thresholds and adjacent trim to get the 10ga wire from the rear tail light area to the front of the vehicle. I fed the wire thru the hood release cable grommet under the dash alongside the hood release cable. I used a 3' length of string trimmer line to get from under the dash to the engine compartment and then taped the wire the the line and pulled it thru to the battery. As I said, the harness took longer than I thought to install but I learned along the way. In the end I was happy with the finished job. The flat-4 plug checked out properly with a voltmeter and the Drawtite T-One harness is fully plug-in and well constructed. I recommend the hitch and harness to all! Mike K. Spencerport,NY 20019

Product was shipped immediately, packaged well. Installation took a little longer than orginally anticipated. Like what other folks have posted, it takes a while to clean out the holes on the frame if your car has seen a couple of winters. You will need a buddy when you actually install the hitch - one person to hold it in place and one to start threading each bolt. Holes on the actual hitch did not line up absolutely perfectly - in my opinion, I think one of the welds on the hitch was like an eigth of an inch off - but everything installed nice and neat with a little persuasion. All in all, real happy with the purchase and this company was great to order from. They expedited the shipping at no extra charge to me and sent me emails letting me know what was going on. Saved a bunch of cash ordering from them and doing it myself. 19740

Great company to deal with - provided free delivery and even upgraded it to provide faster delivery. Hitch arrived in strong cardboard box with no damage except for loss of black paint where hitch had broken thru box. Installation instructions and video were excellent - all mounting hardware was provided - 4 bolts and washers. Only problem I had was rusted bolt holes on my 2006 RAV4 so I could not get the bolts in, not surprising since the holes were exposed to weather. Once I managed to locate a tap to clean out the threads and the hitch went on easily. Maybe etrailer could carry the tap and either include it or provide it at a good price because I did have problems locating the M12 x 1.25 tap. Overall, I'm very happy with the service, pricing and quality of the hitch - now I have to hook up the wiring harness. 18865

I bought a Drawtite hitch for our 2006 Rav4. It installed very easily, exactly as it was intended. It was a Christmas gift for my wife (not a good present aparently). I ordered it, and as I recall it was shipped the same day, regardless it was at my door much earlier than expected. I was very happy with eTrailer's service, and happy with the hitch.15281

I boutght hitch and ball mount kit for a 2010 Rav 4 and I couldn't be more pleased with the product and the service provided by etrailer.com. The items arrived sooner than expected and the video made installation a breeze - a gentle breeze. I almost have to make up something to find a negative...oh yeah, the first time I drove out of my sloping driveway I was moving too fast and slightly scraped the end of the hitch on the concrete, but no damage. I'll slow down in the future.10001

Installed on my 2011 RAV4 with no problems. I backed my RAV4 onto ramps to make the install a little easier. Mounting points are easy to reach. You might need to remove the rubber exhaust hanger in order to get the passenger side rear mounting bolt installed. This is covered in one of the RAV4 install videos on the etrailer site... you just need to spray on a little WD-40 and use a pry bar to pop it off (it will go back on easily). This is my 2nd hitch purchase from etrailer and again very satisfied.8528

Needed Addition, Perfect Fit This hitch fits perfectly. Now my RAV4 is complete. It is sturdy, looks great, and well made. Like others, I elected to install it myself. I even mounted a rear bumper guard at the same time which occupies the same area on the frame rail, and purchased sligtly longer screws. Mounting the receiver first, and bumper guard last, together, they both are a perfect fit, and match. I would recommend this hitch to anyone. 3029

Perfect fit This hitch was ordered for my 2008 Rav4 V6 4WD. I did have to remove a bracket that prevents this hitch from installing that comes from factory. Other than that it was very simple to install. All together it took me within 15 mins to install it by myself. If I had someone else to help me hold it up...I guess it would have taken less time. I highly recommend it.Don't get ripped off from Toyota dealer, do it yourself.813

I received my complete order the NEXT day, which was a surprise because I received free shipping from etrailer.com. The products were securely packaged, and while I haven't had the parts installed yet, they are in their original packaging and appear to be in good working order. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, especially since the car dealer was going to charge me more than TWICE what it cost me going through etrailer.com.26654

Drawtite Hitch for RAV4 was just as promised. Fit was very good and wiring kit installed per directions. Video for both hitch and wiring kit was very helpful. I thought I would share this with someone looking to buy this hitch. Installation on my 2011 Rav4 was smooth. Muffler side you just had to hold it to the right a bit and you could get to the back bolt. I just used it for the first time hauling my bike to Virginia. Worked great! I had a 1 1/4 " bike rack so I bought the hitch reducer and the anti rattle device (which I recommend you get). It did not move a bit or rattle. I would recommend this product. Received it in 2 days! 12810

Drawtite hitch for 2010 RAV 4 Installation was a breeze, RAV4 frame rails have factory installed nutplates. Need to push the exhaust resonator outboard to access the right front attachment bolt. Cone washers (spherical version of a bellvue washer) are used on each attachment bolt, they take a bit of crush before the final torque is reached. Electrical harness installation is more involved than a Gen 1 Honda CRV. More a potential improvement for Toyota and no fault of the wiring harness. This is the second hitch from eTrailers for us. Each purchase has been a very good price and excellent delivery time. OK, so two purchases doesn't make for a bell curve statistic. I am a returning customer, that should tell ya something.9859

The UPS guy tore the package open, but the hitch was delivered in perfect condition and very quickly. It looked great even in the torn box(!) and even better on the Rav4. Great product but... Great product which performs very well however if your Rav4 has been through a couple of NE winters like mine getting the bolts on may take a little extra work. After trying to clean the rust with a brush and a couple of different lubricants without success I had to borrow an air gun from a friend to get the bolts on. 2074

Great fit Being pickey here, but muffler and factory tow bracket prevented quick bolt and go install. Once bracket removed and a work around for the muffler was achieved with hand socket wrench it all came together - this was still only a 1 hour job. Was nice that due to hitch bolt hole leeway, one side could be hand set, then the other side - negating the need in my case for a second person. Tightened it all up with an air tool and hand wrenched the bolt shielded by the muffler - looks and works great.1062

Would rate this product Excellent except for the following: As I read in some other online reviews, the trailer bracket arrives with a few good-sized scratches...something should be done to improve the packaging for long-distance shipments. Also, I did have to widen the bracket a hair with a sledge hammer to get the holes to line up...seems the end plates tip inward slightly during assembly (due to welding?). Small issue & easily resolved, but it ate some time & is something that should be addressed by the manufacturer. Great experience with etrailer.com & I'll definitely be back. Online videos are a HUGE help, thanks! I'm no mechanic & the videos saved me $1100.- on installation compared to local quotes! 27720
