Today we are going to install part number 75082 which is Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch. We will be installing it on a 2007 Ford Ranger XLT. After lowering the spare tire underneath the vehicle here, on the driver side and passenger side we want to remove the rear most bolt on both sides. After removing both rear most bolts we need to remove the retaining clip that holds the threads out of the frame rail here. You actually pry this piece away from the frame rail. Because it is actually clipped around it. To give a little more clearance we are going to loosen this bolt on both sides. That should give you enough room here to pop the clip out of the frame. Now that the clip is removed from the frame we will go ahead and tighten these bolts back up. Now we will the hardware down from the top of the frame down into the holes in the frame.
We are going to use the blocks and bolts that are provided. There will be 2 of them. One of which is going to go down into the hole of the clip we just removed. The other one is going to be down and through this existing hole that we have here in the frame. These will be the 2 attaching points for the trailer hitch. You will want to do this on both sides of the vehicle. With the bolt in position we can go ahead and put the hitch up into place. We want to put a 1/4 inch spacer up here in between the frame and the hitch. That helps take care of the open spaces there. Again you will need to do that on both sides. Attach it with the lock washer and nut that are provided. Once we have the nuts and washer assembly into place we just need to tighten them down. After they are tighten we will go ahead and give them the final torque which will be around 72 foot pounds per bolt. Do not forget to raise the spare tire back up. Then after all 4 bolts are tightened down your installation is complete.

Great product, thank you. Looked great out of the box, and installed easily. The only thing you might want to note is that some Ranger owners will need to remove the spare tire before mounting this beast. The spare tire went back in place with no issues, there's just not enough room to maneuver and install the hitch with the spare tire in place.22315

Relatively easy to install. I put this on a 2000 Ranger and all the all holes lined up perfectly. It is a little tricky to get the bolts and hardware in the top holes. I could have used longer skinnier fingers and more joints and/or more dexterity, but once together seems super strong and visually looks great. 69441

Hitch was great, bolted on in 10 minutes, no problems or drilling...would absolutely recommend it!!!!! however the FACTORY shipping box was another story.....It arrived totally destroyed with parts of the hitch hanging out....should be shipped with some packing inside, instead of just in the cardboard box......lucky it was not damaged.... Also very strong, well built and nice looking under the bumper..5*****'s 64766

Order came quickly and just as shown. Fit perfectly and though I didn't time it, was about a half hour job. Put it up and it was such a good fit that it wasn't even necessary to hold it in place. Bolts dropped right in just as advertised. Spare tucked right back into place. Used the Ford OEM trailer light kit and was plugged in and ready to go in minutes. This hitch looks great under my truck. I ordered it at 9:30am Monday and received it by noon on Friday!!! We’re talking from Missouri to Idaho!! The map view when tracking the package was a neat feature. It was like tracking Santa on Christmas Eve. As for the hitch itself....very well constructed and fit perfectly. The seams were fully welded. No tacks or partial welds on this one folks. It tucks up under the truck and sits back behind the bumper so I won’t bang my shins. No worries if I do manage to bump it. It has a rounded lip on the receiver that will keep from scraping. It fits nicely around the spare tire with about 1” of clearance and does not hang below the spare. I won’t be digging any trenches with it. The install was ridiculously simple. It was installed and ready for towing in less than 30 minutes! The hardest part was getting out my jack wrench to lower the spare tire. The mounting holes lined up exactly with the holes in my frame. If you’ve ever bought an aftermarket “bolt-on” part before then you know how rare that is. During my search for a hitch I stumbled onto etrailer's install video of this item. The video, price and free shipping sold me. I ordered on the spot and could not be more happy with my purchase. This trailer hitch receiver was a snap to install. My son and I installed it in less than an hour with a simple 3/4" wrench. The videos for the installation of the receiver were helpful but not necessary. On the 2006 Ford Ranger, no drilling was necessary. Simply match up the holes and tighten up six bolts. 35001

Fit and finish of this hitch is very good. A welcome addition to my truck to haul my utility trailer. Installation took a little longer than advertised, my big bear paws had difficulty accessing the vertical bolt installation locations.
