The bars are perfect and just what I ordered! What makes etrailer the perfect company to order from is that they are the one stop shop for all your hitch needs. I needed a 1200 lb trunion bar set, not one replacement bar, not the whole WD assembly, just the bar set, and that proved to be a difficult task. Difficult until I discovered etrailer.com. After checking out everything else they offer, I will be a repeat customer. The shipping was lightning fast and far exceeded what I expected. Couldn't ask for more, thank you!!!8362

  • Will the Draw Tite Spring Bar kit Work with the Reese Weight Distribution System
  • Yes, the Draw-Tite spring bar kit will work on the Reese weight distribution system, as long as you have the trunnion bar system with spring bars that are curved at the end.

  • What Trunion Style Spring Bars Should Be Used to Reduce Stiffness in my Weight Distribution System
  • With a tongue weight of about 600 pounds a bar with a 400-800 pound range would be much better than the 1,200 pound spring bars you have now. I would suggest Draw-Tite part # 6664. It includes two spring bars that have a tongue weight maximum of 800 pounds and maximum gross trailer weight of 12,000 pounds. They should be less stiff and provide a smoother ride since your tongue weight is relatively low, but it will not reduce your gross trailer weight capacity.

  • Replacement Draw Tite Trunnion Bars for Weight Distribution on a 2000 Ford F250
  • If you have a newer weight distribution head, less than 3 years old, then the Trunnion Style Weight Distribution Spring Bar Kit, item # 6666, will work with your system. If the weight distribution system you have is an older style then the the larger trunnion heads will not fit in the head. The weight distribution head part number you would need in this case is # RP58167, which is the newer style head that accepts 600, 800, 1,200, and 1,700 lbs. spring bars. If this is the case it would be the s

  • How To Install Weight Distribution System on Trailer Frame Tongue With Propane Tanks Installed
  • I have a solution for this problem. As you have explained, sometimes trailer frame mounted accessories can interfere with the installation of weight distribution and/or sway control. The good news is there is a product that allows you to hang the spring bars without interfering with those accessories. Take a look at the Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems - Bolt On, # RP58305. You will be able to mount these hangers in the appropriate position to correctly install the weight

  • Can Spring Bars Be Upgraded To Larger Weight Capacity On Draw-Tite WD Hitch On 2004 Ford Excursion
  • Yes, if you upgrade your trunnion spring bars to the heavier 1,200 lb spring bars, like the Draw-Tite Trunnion Style Weight Distribution Spring Bar Kit # 6666, this will help your weight distribution system spread the weight better and allow you to have more links available for movement. The number of chain links is used to help determine the proper amount of tension to support the load. You said your weight distribution system has the dual-cam sway control, so you will have the newer weight

  • Sway Control Recommendation for Towing a 2004 K-Z Frontier 28 Foot Travel Trailer
  • Dual-cam sway control requires spring bars that have that hook shape at the end. Normally, you would buy a weight distribution system that comes with the dual-cam sway control or purchase the sway control for an existing system with compatible spring bars. If you just want sway control and do not want to add weight distribution, you will need to sue friction sway control like # 83660. You will also need a bracket for the end that attaches to the vehicle hitch. use # RP26003 for a 2 inch ball

  • What Capacity Weight Distribution System is Recommended for a 750 Pound Trailer Tongue Weight
  • You would choose a weight distribution system based on the tongue weight of the trailer. You would want a system that has a tongue weight capacity range that encompasses the trailer tongue weight loaded and ready to tow. With a Tongue weight of 700 to 750 pounds, a system rated for 600 to 1,200 pounds tongue weight would be a good fit. Having a system rated a little higher will have a stiffer ride when you tow, but it is much better than to have a system that is rated too low. With a 600 to 1
