- Will Draw-Tite Spring Bars Work with Reese Weight Distribution Systems
- You can in fact use Draw-Tite Spring Bars with your Reese Weight Distribution hitch. Since you need new 800 pound trunnion bars with the integrated cam for the dual cam sway control, you can use part # 6664.

- I spoke with my contact at Reese and he informed me that yes, you can swap the Reese Replacement Trunnion Spring Bar, 1,700 lbs, part # 66010 into your Reese Weight Distribution w/out Shank - Trunnion Bar - 15,000 lbs GTW, 1,500 lbs TW, part # RP66131, to increase the capacity of your weight distribution system to 1,700 lbs.
The head of your weight distribution system is capable of the 1,700 lbs, however you will need to make sure the the shank you are using is capable of 1,700 lbs tongue wei

- I spoke with my contact at Reese and he stated that if your 800 pound system is newer, within the last 3-1/2 to 4 years, then the higher capacity 1,700 pound bars, like # 66010, will fit. However, what you need to also look at is the shank. The shank that came with the 800 pound system is probably good for a maximum of 1,500 pounds, like # RP54970.
The shank used for the complete Reese 1,700 pound system is # RP54976 or # RP54977, and each of these only fits in a 2-1/2 inch receiver. If you c
