Nice enough product. The option to move the tray closer to or away from the vehicle sounds like a nice idea, but in reality the result is a tray that doesn't clamp tightly to the shaft, and at the ends it swings up and down about 1" -- and that's with the bolts tightened to the manufacturer's specs. Shaft also doesn't fit tightly in the receiver, allowing both up and down and left and right movement -- enough that I had to put a couple of wedges in the receiver. Neither of these problems will stop me using the tray, but they aren't what I expected from a mid-priced product -- glad I didn't go for a cheap version.2418

Dissappointed with product I have a 2" factory receiver from General Motors. The 2" receiver for this Cargo Carrier is loose and rocks between 2 1/2 - 3". It should not rock that much. At one point, I had to have two people hold my receiver while I drove out your receiver. I have had many other Draw-Tites over the years and this is the first one I have had a bad experience with. 2330

  • Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier for a 2005 Jeep Liberty
  • We most likely do have a cargo carrier for your application. You will have to measure the distance from the center of you hitch pin hole to the farthest back part of your spare tire to determine the distance you will need for the items you put on the carrier to clear the tire. When you search our cargo carriers you will then notice that they have a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the cargo carrier. As long as the distance is as long or longer than you

  • What is the shank rise on 20x60 Cargo Carrier, part # 6501?
  • The 20x60 Cargo Carrier - Fits 2-inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 6501, has a 3-inch rise on the shank. What is nice about this cargo carrier is that the receiver arm is adjustable from 6 inches to 11 inches from the center of the pin hole on the shank to the edge of the cargo carrier. It can also be used with the Bike Adapter For Draw-Tite and Reese Cargo Carriers, part #6505, to carry up to 4 bikes, both adult and childrens bikes.

  • Cargo Carrier with Lateral Stability in Hitch for Offroad Use
  • Lateral stability in a cargo carrier is mostly achieved by proper loading. The load carried should be positioned with the heaviest items to the center, then keep the weight as close to even as possible as you work out to the ends of the carrier. There are 2 ways to increase the stability of your carrier when used. The first is a anti rattle device (see link) that will help stabilize the carriers shank when in use. I would recommend the No-Rattle Trailer Hitch Wedge for 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch

  • The Draw-Tite 20x60 Cargo carrier, part # 6501, will fit any hitch with a 2 inch opening, regardless of hitch brand. Just make sure that your dealer installed hitch has a 2 inch receiver or is a Class 3 or 4 hitch.

  • Cargo Carrier for Carrying Lawn Tractor
  • Without knowing how much your tractor weighs or how large it is, I would recommend something like a mobility scooter carrier which has an integrated ramp. If your tractor weighs 500 pounds or less, and your hitch is rated for at least 500 pounds of tongue weight, I would go with the 28x48 Hitch Mounted Wheel Chair and Scooter Carrier with 60 inch Long Ramp, part # SC500. I suspect that unless you have a very small lightweight tractor, your tractor might be too large and heavy to be safely carrie
